I have really been questioning my purpose alot this year. Sometimes we rate our successes by the views and applause of others. But there comes a point where you have to learn to pat yourself on the back, not in a cocky way.. cause there is STILL so much more that needs to be done. But, you have to say.. Dammit,if I can do THAT.. I can do anything. I'm a small town girl from Huntsville,Al who started from nothing but created a whole plus size movement that is known internationally. My models were trained by one of the dopest TOP models in the world, I had the first PLUS MALE model team in my state. I had Pro Ball players and Gospel Greats debut their clothing lines right here in Huntsville, Al. And models I have trained have walked in the Real NYFW and even in Paris. I may not have the fame or the money of others and I may not always do things the right way. But I will be damn if I let anyone downplay my accomplishments ( that includes me). Yes, year 7 has been harder than all the others combined. But, I'm still going to make it happen,.. I have Faith IN ME whether anyone else does or not. Hey... I never said loving yourself was easy. I find this work of mine lacking in so many aspects. Haha. It's immature and careless and plainly terrible. But I don't want to pretend that it didn't happen and that I never drew this because I did spend my precious time making it. It's a part of my journey and even if it looks ugly, I will acknowledge it. Things won't always go the way we planned. The road to success is not always smooth. There will be storms, bumpy roads, ugly artworks. But they're not there to stop us, they're there to make us realize that a long way is ahead of us and we can always do better and be better.
