ConstructiProwl Claim Marks
(Not inherently sexual, but could be taken as)
What if, before the war, it was common for mechs with wings to have claim bites on the bottom of their wings. These marks are from bonded mates. Instead of having wedding rings or bonding magnets, they have claim bites. The bites eventually heal, so they have to be re-added every so often. It's a way to show mech's continuous love for each other.
Eventually Prowl slowly has the Constructicons start biting his wings. He doesn't tell them why at first. They are a bit confused but go with it anyways. Eventually, they find out why, and are ecstatic that Prowl is claiming them as his and letting them claim him as theirs. They then have Prowl leave his own bits on the kibble that's on their backs. They don't have wings, so that's the best they can do. Prowl is very content and happy to have marked them and to be marked.
The Autobots don't really have any winged mechs. They have a few, but none in any really serious relationships. And those that are have spent so long away from their culture that they don't really do the claim marks anymore and instead go for other traditions they have adapted.
So, one day Prowl gets called out by like, Optimus Prime or someone for being unprofessional and having bite marks on him. Prowl goes quiet and walks away. It's not βembarrassed for being called outβ type of quiet, it's a different type of quiet. The mech mentions it to their friends, and one of their winged mech friends has to sheepishly explain claim marks and how they aren't inherently inappropriate and are in fact a part of their culture.
The mech then has to embarrassingly apologize to Prowl, who just nods in response. (This was a major step in accepting the gestalt and is also a very vulnerable thing for him to do, that then backfired a bit on him, so he shut down.) The claim bites stay, and the mech now gets glared at by every Constructicons.
