‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ After Vi's death, Claggor mourned in silence. He had always been someone who kept things to himself, not wanting to bother anyone with his troubles. For a while, he believed he was handling it better than the others. Powder had it worse, no question, and Mylo, who was always the whiniest among them, suddenly had nothing to say. You would think he would blame Powder- he wanted to, but he couldn't. Not after seeing her cry with Vi's lifeless body in her arms.

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ In that moment, when Powder broke down crying, there eventually came a point when her emotions simply shut off. It was like that strange calm after tears, when you can't cry anymore and the silence feels heavier than the sobs. Afterward, she became difficult to reach. Conversations with her felt like she was only half there. And over time, her family began to see signs of schizophrenia, and when her psychosis struck, it was terrifying. Mylo saw it firsthand. He blamed himself for not recognizing how fragile she really was, for being too hard on her and for not realizing what Vi's death would do to her. Some nights he told himself that if only he had admitted he was too scared to go on that mission, if only he had stood with Claggor when he told Vi that going to Piltover for a heist was a bad idea, things would be different. He unknowingly blamed himself for everything, but he refused to face it. Instead of lashing out, he withdrew and became distant.

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ Seeing both Powder and Mylo unravel, Claggor had no choice but to pull himself together. As second to Vi being the oldest, the responsibility of holding the family together was suddenly thrust upon him. He didn't even get the chance to mourn Vi properly because he was too busy trying to keep the others from falling apart. He wore a strong facade, setting aside his own grief because someone had to. But taking care of a schizophrenic sister lost in psychosis and a brother who had become a stranger was more than anyone should bear. And while everyone thought he was handling it well, the truth was that he was breaking under the weight of it.

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ Vander never saw it, or maybe he didn't want to, as he was also trying to keep a strong facade. Vander might not have told Claggor directly to step into Vi's shoes, but the pressure was there all the same.

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ What finally broke Claggor was the realization that Powder had caused the explosion. It didn't come to him in a sudden flash of intuition- Claggor wasn't that kind of person. His memory was too sharp and it worked against him like a curse. At first, the thought lingered faintly at the back of his mind. The way the blast in the apartment had sparked blue, the way Powder had clutched strange crystals in her hands afterward. He hadn't registered them then- he couldn't, not with Vi's body lying still before them. When he saw the crystals again at Powder's hideout, the memories clicked into place with brutal clarity. The devastation hit him like a blow. He was furious, but he couldn't take it out on her. So the anger turned inward, and he searched for outlets anywhere else. That was the beginning of the spiral.

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ At first, it was alcohol. He didn't drink the same way Vi did. Never in excess, never openly. But he slipped drinks while bartending at The Last Drop. That lasted a year or two, until the drinking wasn't enough. Then came other ways of hurting himself, quiet self-destruction hidden behind the mask of being "the strong one." Eventually, he stumbled across pitfighting, and in its violence he found the release he couldn't find anywhere else. The fights left him battered, his right arm especially took the most damage. Later, he began wearing the orange sleeve to cover the scars.

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ His spiral stretched across years. After Vi's death, the first two or three years had been nothing but suffering. The next two or three were a slow, painful healing. The years that followed were them as a family, learning, step by step, how to stand again. And maybe- just maybe, Silco would end up being part of that healing.

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ By the time Claggor enrolled at the Academy, nearly seven years had passed since Vi's death. He started later than most, which only fueled the pressure he carried into his first year. That was why he threw himself into his work with such determination. The Innovator's Competition he participated in wasn't just simply ambition- it was survival, proof that he still had something to offer, and a chance to carve out a place for himself despite the years he had lost. It was his leverage, the only way he could advance quickly enough to catch up at the academy. But more than that, it gave him a new purpose. For the first time since Vi's death, he wasn't just trying to keep himself or his family together.

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ A soft spoken person. He rarely raises his voice unless necessary. Even then, it’s never to the point of shouting. He has never once screamed in his life.

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ He always prefers to keep to himself but is brave enough to initiate a conversation, especially with someone who is also the quiet type.

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ Very modest, mostly because he doesn't recognize his own capabilities. He doesn't like showing off - except with Mylo because he loves teasing him.

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ A highly intuitive person. He can easily pick up on everything the people around him are putting down but is either too kind or too cautious to call them out on it, but when he does, he still kind of beat around the bush.

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ Has a strong sense of responsibility, in a way that he's the kind of guy to get things done without needing to be asked, but sometimes when it gets too much he couldn't help but subtly complain about it.

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ A real pushover. He doesn't have a backbone to save himself and would easily give in because he doesn't want to disappoint people. The only way he could express disapproval is by subtly shaking his head to himself.

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ Is a big nerd but he doesn't want to show it, but it's very obvious by the way he talks enthusiastically about his interests. Has a tendency to info dump on someone and then quickly feels embarrassed as soon as he realizes it.

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ Has the cutest sneeze ever. Every time he's about to sneeze, he tries really hard to contain it so it always ends up sounding like a squeak. There was this one time he failed to hold it in and he let out the loudest, most dad-sounding sneeze ever (it was one of his biggest secrets).

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ He may seem like a chill guy on the outside, but he's constantly talking to himself in his head. If it gets too overwhelming, he'll say something gibberish in his mind to clear his thoughts. However, there were a couple of times he accidentally let his thoughts slip out loud, and, of course, Mylo made fun of him for it. In response, Claggor would playfully slap Mylo’s head to shut him up.

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ He can't sleep without an extra pillow to cuddle. And the way he hugs it is so extra. He doesn’t just wrap his arms around it, his legs have to be wrapped around it too. Basically, he sleeps curled up like a fetus every night.

Early life

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ Grew up in Zaun in a big family. May have been a middle child too, and is somewhere in the lower-middle age range among his siblings.

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ Parents worked in the mines, but died due to one catastrophic accident that caused the people from the undercity to protest against Piltover, which unfortunately lead to the bridge fight.

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ Older siblings were caught in the crossfire and died leading Claggor and his younger siblings to fend for themselves. Unfortunately, his younger siblings died from lung problems and malnutrition.

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ Became a "trash picker" (I'm not really sure what the correct english term for it, but there's this thing in 3rd world countries where poor people living in the slums scavenge through dumpsters to look for cool finds that they can later on sell or trade).

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ Vander found him first before Mylo. They met when Claggor tried to sell the scraps (which ofc doesn't cost much) he found to Benzo. Vander reminded Claggor of his younger self and was immediately fond of him, so he adopted him.

Now some rambling, because for some reason I couldn't get my thoughts straight to form a well-rounded headcanon list lmao

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ I think one of the reasons why Claggor is the type of person that is afraid to stand his ground or speak his thoughts loudly is because he's used to being ignored by the people around him (not necessarily in a mean-spirited way, but simply because they tend to be stubborn). And in my opinion, Claggor is naturally pessimistic, which can be an annoying trait his old family think he has.

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ Whenever he tries to speak up, people either disregard him or ignore him completely. And since he came from a big family, I imagine his voice was often drowned out by other family members. I also think this is part of why he grew so close to Mylo, because he sees right through him and relates to him. Being someone who suffered the middle child syndrome himself, he empathizes with Mylo's desire to be seen as important within their found family.

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ Claggor may also be the kind of middle child that was ignored all the time but was expected to be responsible (may have older siblings that aren't as present so he chooses to cover their responsibilities in the house instead).

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ I think Claggor wears his goggles because he has a fear of being perceived. It's a way for him to hide his face. I don't think he has any issues with his eyesight since we don't see him wearing them when he's reading. (edit: oops i was wrong lol) From my observation, in all his scenes from S1Act1, he only ever removes his goggles when he's alone with his siblings in a private place, or when he's with people he's comfortable with.

‧₊˚ ⋅ ❥ He may also be insecure about his size because he's a big guy for his age. I like to think that he puts up his hoodie (yes he also has a hoodie like Vi) as a way to make himself feel smaller. Make it hurt a little more when you think about my headcanon about his younger siblings dying because of malnutrition (additional: Claggor is malnourished too. Malnutrition is not exclusive to thin people only).
