Today was a beautiful day for a wedding. The skies were relatively clear for the rain that had poured all morning. There were some hours of downtime for the grass to dry so by 18:00, the garden would be in position for a beautiful service. It was a pretty big wedding so she was surprised to find that there were still some seats closer to the front available for the two. Jenna and her friend, BJ, another friend of Mike’s also, had both been invited so they decided to be each other’s dates.
After the service, the guests were ushered to a ballroom inside the building in front of the garden. Not much would be happening for a while since everyone was still getting acquainted with one another and the newly-weds were getting their congrats. It was nice not having to stress over the traffic there would be on the way to another location.
“If you need a marker--” Jenna stood to her fullest height, smashing the sharpie cap on with the palm of her hand, her gaze traveling to the taller man she had previously caught out the corner of her eye. She froze. “U-uh--Jake! Hi.” Jenna raised her brows. It had been several weeks since she last saw him. Talked to him, even. Although she had thought about him here and there, she never imagined that she’d see him again, like this, so soon.
