I have to talk to you.” Zelda had been watching Ciri train all morning, waiting for the moment the girl took her break from the relentless practice along the parapets so she could grab her. There were wood shavings all over the table she sat at, along with numerous and crudely carved statues of Geralt, Eskel, Lambert, and a cute little dog. She pulled out a chair for the girl, brushing off more wood shavings, and gave it a pat for her to sit. 

“It’s about those uh --- well,” she didn’t know how to put it without completely mortifying the girl, and scratched awkwardly at the side of her head. “I was on laundry duty earlier. And I noticed you’d already stripped your bed. So I went looking for your sheets and found ‘em all stuffed into the bottom of your trunk. A -- and I saw, you know, on it... so I thought maybe... since I’m the only other female here -- maybe you had some questions...” Way to dance around it. She blew out an awkward breath.
