I think Elizabeth was a big part of Ford realizing Bill is evil.

In this fanfic, Elizabeth and Bord (Ford possessed by Bill) get in a fight. This was not the only incident. And Ford could always tell when he'd been possessed, not just by the waking up in a place with no context as to how he got there, but also because Elizabeth would be absolutely terrified beyond the level that's normal for her. Elizabeth's normal anxiety is "I hope I don't mess up this social interaction." Her fear post-Bord is "I hope I don't die." She's always extra jumpy, like she's walking on eggshells, and Ford isn't the best with emotions, but he can tell when Elizabeth is freaking out.
