Orretober Week 2 - Join Cipher! - Young Nascour with Metang

Despite how it may seem, this is actually not a genderswap lol xD he just came out particularly "girly" today...

The story behind this is that, in my verse, Nascour became part of Cipher fairly early on (very much at an age where he should not have been hanging out with actual criminals...) after Evice "adopted" him and started out running errands and going on missions at his uncle's behest. He hasn't farmed enough poor Orrean Trainers for his Metang to evolve yet.

In order to really lean into his gender non-conforming and androgynous aesthetic, I combined the uniforms of male and female Cipher Peons for his outfit, while applying his own color scheme. The bow - which I believe may be one of the the main culprits making him look like a girl - is just this cute little headcanon I have about Nascour liking "girly" things from a young age and incorporating them in his outfit whenever he can get away with it/Evice isn't looking. Naturally, he got Metang its own matching bow because who says you can't be cute while robbing people?

Also it's so weird to see Nascour with normal eyes. Same thing in some of the Orre mangas. Anyway, I've always had this headcanon that his eyes are naturally red, they just... shall we say, bled out in a way when he became something different. A similar change in appearance as a certain corrupted Legendary Pokémon, if you catch my drift.

The background symbol is my take on a Cipher emblem. Since they're running a conspiracy club you will almost never see the full symbol, only the v-shapes on their uniforms or as other accessories. People in the criminal scene know what it means, others have no idea Cipher has any sort of symbol at all. I took a lot of inspiration from a design made by @porcupiss, so shout out and big thank you for letting me use it as a basis for my own💜

Orretober24, week 3, "time-skip"

So, this is the one that kept me up all night the other day.

Long story short, I like to think that Nascour gets out of jail (be it contingency plan b, meddling from his admin besties, lobbying from the Verichs or just typical Cipher madness) and lays low for a while before continuing his work for Cipher from the shadows - pun intended, as this is indeed supposed to be a shadow aura around him (I do like the "Nascour is a shadow" fanon and have a lot of thoughts and feelings about it).

Needless to say, he's not sorry, still up to no good and would totally be down for Cipher round 3.

Alternate version without textbox below; I didn't quite get the original font from the game, but that was fine since I really like using Silkscreen for Cipher. And hexagons. Blame Gorigan for that one.

He's trying not very hard to apologize for all his past criminal activity and wants to do more crime better.

Don't worry though, since his battle is silent he will neither sing nor play the ukulele - he'll just stare at you menacingly until you surrender forgive him. He's listening, learning and so very sorry that you were offended by his actions he will do it again.
