Chat he can jump now
Another favorite thing about 00Q fandom: Bondlock.
Do you think Bond has romantic feelings for Sherlock?
Hmmmmmm. Not...significantly? I do kiiiinda ship it a little bit. I'm too hung up on Sherliam to take anything else for either of them too seriously, but I do like to play mix and match for funsies, especially with a cast this broad and full of such great characters. And I've said before that I think there's something quite charming about the idea of Sherlock knowing he's gay, being slightly attracted to Irene and frankly kind of annoyed by it, then meeting him post-transition and going "AHA! That's why you're hot!"
But from Bond's side...I really don't know. I think there's certainly attachment and sentimentality there. Him going back to do the "Goodnight, Mr Sherlock Holmes" bit (though that's also just an ACD reference), the look on his face when he hears Sherlock's voice during The Riot in New Scotland Yard, the understanding of Sherlock he exhibits on a few occasions, the brief reappearance of Irene which I personally read not as anything particularly heavy genderwise but more as A: trolling Sherlock as revenge for the bookseller disguise and B: a statement that the time during which they got to know each other was meaningful. So. I certainly think Sherlock matters to Bond. I think it's as valid a ship as anything; in fact I'd say Bond is kind of next in line after Liam to be a good fit for Sherlock, what with the wit-matching and all, but Liam is still winning by miles lol. Ultimately, like with most ships, I think it's all in how you read it, and that's the fun of it.

An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: James Bond (Craig Movies), Sherlock (TV) Rating: Explicit Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: James Bond/Q, Sherlock Holmes/John Watson Characters: Q (Bond - Craig movies), James Bond, Eve Moneypenny, Mycroft Holmes, Mummy (Sherlock), Female M (James Bond), Siger Holmes, John Watson Additional Tags: Dysfunctional Family, Classical Music, Reichenbach Falls, Developing Relationship, Hurt/Comfort, Angst, Bondlock Summary:
Bond didn’t do families. He had one, once, that he vaguely remembered. He’d met the occasional target’s parents, but only when it was unavoidable, and never as more than part of an investigation. M had come the closest to being something of a maternal figure in Bond’s life (“at least I got something right”), but even at that she was more his commanding officer than anyone remotely affectionate.
This was why, when Q explained (rather forcefully) that he didn’t want Bond to have anything to do with his family, Bond didn’t object.
Unhappily for both of them, it didn’t make any difference.

"If you don't stop prying, I'll burn you. I'll burn the heart out of you." "I've been reliably informed I do not have one." "We both know that's not true." ---- Jim Moriarty promised to burn him if he didn't stop prying. Sherlock had no intention of stopping, he did not care about his life, until Moriarty made good on that promise with something that the two brothers never thought possible or expected. The Holmes brothers both in fact did have a heart, and that heart was not a what but a who. And that heart had ceased to exist ever since he had become QuarterMaster.
Q was used to his brothers biting off more than they could chew, but it never involved him, until now. After a failed assassination attempt in Q Branch, Bond has been assigned as bodyguard to Q.
What follows is this: James is done(TM) Sherlock is overprotective John is confused Mycroft is annoyed with M1-6 as a whole and Q is not a damsel in distress.
I miss thinking bbc Sherlock was good 🤡
