So! Last Wemmbu episode! (1000 Players Simulate UNDERGROUND Civilization in Minecraft)
So I thought I would put my thoughts, analysis, and interpretation down for this one! I will also be including some timestamps in a few places just so we all know what I'm talking about okay okay okay, let's go LETS GO-
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First few shots of the video, and my jaw is on the fricking floor. Holy crap. That base.
Unstable has obviously had several insane looking bases and builds but this is hands down the most gorgeous one yet (feel free to contest me on this). It's such a menacing, claustrophobic, super-villain-esque base. It's pressing down on you. The spiders crawling around, the giant webs everywhere, you really get the vibe that you are not in control in this place. Arachnid is. And you better not step out of line.
We get the singular shot at Eggchan behind bars, and that dark red fog really makes it clear who has taken him hostage here. This being echoed at the very end of the video, as the very last shot, makes me kind of scared to see what's gonna happen to him in the next videos.
I don't think the parallels between Arachnid having basically mandatory night vision vs The Mafia with their invis has to be called out too much.
As Yungy is leading Wemmbu through the base, again, it looks so good and works so well for Arachnid. Especially the dark colours work really well for an underground base, and the highlights are... purple. Huh.
So if we look at Arachn1d himself, the palette is black and red. Yungy is black and red. Their shields are black and white, with red for the highest ranking members (possibly: Arachn1d is shown with red patterns on his shield though), so you would expect the base to have red highlights as well... so what's up with the purple?
Currently I'm running two different, although possibly not exclusive theories. The purple is such a sharp, vivid colour, I think it might be there more as a metaphor rather than an actual colour that would be used in the civilisation buildings. Immediately in me it invokes the feelings of fear and panic - worry that Wemmbu has for Egg's wellbeing, uncertainty on where to go from here. Also, Jaden is stuck down here with him and can't even bring help from the outside. They are truly isolated, with no one aware of where they are and no allies to potentially help them out, without any weapons or items. The world is black and white, with occasional stabs of purple that are that fear sharply reminding Wemmbu about the situation he's in.
The second theory is the potential this civilisation holds for Wemmbu. It's whispers, subtle suggestions, beckoning him - look at how well you would fit in here. You already have a place here. Just let them take control, just follow the orders, conform, don't try to escape - you are already a part of us. You belong to us.
Also that giant statue of the spider with the purple eyes that's in the middle of the market? Yeah, looks like Wemmbu to me. They were probably planning on blackmailing him to join their civilisation (sorry: become their weapon) for some time now.
I love that the night vision potion has those sickly green particles, because it really reminds me of poison. And you see those buildings with green glass on top sometimes amids the purple (later revealed to be mass night potion restocking chambers) - it's a neat detail I think :))
3:20 That shot on the spider hanging from the ceiling right after they were shown to be under surveillance by Yungy is cool. This video is probably a nightmare for people with arachnophobia, tho.
4:48 "The only light is in the bottom." I love these terrassed types of builds. The same thing was done with The Mafia, and maybe it's not very subtle, but I really like how you can visually see the progression - Wemmbu starting at the bottom with no tools, only allowed to have iron - and then build yourself up after taking missions and following orders. As will be shown later, of course, progressing means you need to leave something behind. The most bottom layer being the only one that still has some light left - the upper layers replacing it with night vision potions, a kind of a faux light - is very suggestive of what you have to lose in order to get into higher ranks, and what you are only able to imitate when you leave the bottom.
5:15 Immediately meeting a character who wants nothing to do with their shenanigans and has no ambition to climb up the ranks is really funny. Like I'm so sorry, Codmaster, you are getting dragged into their messes reagrdless of your opinion I'm afraid.
By 6:12 they are really laying on thick the "obey or die" mentality. With so many threats in such a short amount of time, I'm starting to think Arachnid is still really afraid of Wemmbu. They have his best friend hostage, his only ally trapped down here with him, with no way to get outside help, and still they (or at least Yungy) feel the need to remind him of his powerlessness.
6:30 "Dude I'm sick of underground civilisations." REJOICEEEEEEEEE Q-Q Anyways I hope there are no wardens here and noone will die to them either. That would be really unfortunate.
Wemmbu breaking the glass at 14:35 is in my extremely biased opinion his attempt at drawing attention away from Codmaster (...I'll stick to Cod from now on). I think Wemmbu has been shown a few times by now to very quickly grow fond / protective over pacifist, lowkey helpless players (Rejoice, Egg, Dione, Lopez, and possibly Wato are the ones I can think of off the top of my head). And this whole situation - being stuck underground, with Jaden being there, unable to escape, and meeting this very pacifistic, non-confrontational character - is I think just strongly reminding him of Rejoice. They just escaped a bunch of wardens. Cod could have died there, but he lived, and now this asshole is threatening him with strength III potted up. I think it's a fair conclusion to make, and doubly so because it is being portrayed as such a silly moment. Wemmbu knows he has no actual chance to escape, and just chooses to draw the attention to himself without actually getting killed for it (which I think at this point Yungy could actually do). Wemmbu needs at least Cod to survive.
15:45 CHILLS. Actual chills from the music. The tension is immediately on. The whole following senquence up to the gladiator fight evokes such a strong feeling of danger. The panning shot at the colloseum thing where you can see all of the players through the windows and know immediately what is about to happen.
16:58 Okay so I did just notice the purple stripe across Yungy's shield. In that case it might be part of Arachnid's colour scheme, but I would like to believe it is still meant to symbolize Wemmbu, the ultimate goal of getting him as their weapon and through that achieving domination over the whole server. The purple stripe being singular and also partially hidden behind the swirl pattern is something I will selectively choose as supportive of this theory (/delusional).
17:27 "So we're supposed to...fight?" With the music changing in the background... Wemmbu I think a lot of times has kind of delayed realisations of what kind of situation he genuinely is in. That's the moment he realises he probably has no other way out of this situation, but isn't ready to accept he has to kill Jaden. But not complying will end with him and/or Egg dead...
21:09 Really insteresting how different Yungy and Arachnid are acting. Yungy obviously has a personal grudge against both Wemmbu and Jaden, and seemingly doesn't hesitate to go against their entire mission just to have Wemmbu killed. Then Arachnid comes in and starts to apologize for how they've been treated? At this point I was genuinely not sure if this isn't part of their plan to bring Wemmbu to their side - by putting Yungy as his direct antagonist, while Arachnid is pretending to be the "good guy" here. But of course, once Wemmbu calls out his bullshit and wants Egg freed, we are back to threatening. They are really desperate to have him following their orders.
23:25 THIS. SHOT. bangs my hands on the desk.
Wemmbu clenching his hand around the sword (I am choosing to believe that's what this was supposed to be). The callback to the first time Wemmbu won against him - that started their whole serious rivalry - where he waited on the tower for Flame to show up, and he did - in much worse gear and out of resources. The reversal of their situation, but of course, this time, Flame being directly responsible for the state his main rival ended up in. The height difference + the armour difference, yet Flame literally runs away like a coward, without even coming down to mock Wemmbu, or make fun of him, or anything. The fact that Wemmbu was even able to spot FlameFrags from such a distance away. This makes me wonder if Flame was watching the fight from afar, perhaps hoping that Jaden would die? (ik they kind of but not really made up in the last video but I don't think he would mind Jaden dying) If he did I really would like to know what he was thinking at that moment. And Wemmbu, in turn, doesn't even try to get his attention in any way other than just staring him down from below. And no, I would not call Flame running away anything but that. Man's booked it out of there. If he wanted this to be a power move I think he would have gone about it very differently.
23:12 Wemmbu suffering while fishing, Egg's literal favourite activity, will never not be funny to me.
30:30 Wemmbu with his acute inability to lie and suck up to people with power, even when he desperately needs it... at least Jaden comes to the rescue. Wemmbu's ego will probably be the death of him in the end.
36:50 Wemmbu immediately noticing that Cod is feeling down and trying to reassure and cheer him up. That's my favourite mass murderer, getting attached to people who inherently need protection concerningly quickly.
That whole mission with Dione is definitely... sketchy. You cannot tell me Arachnid knew about this person living behind this exact wall, producing a very, very valuable resource on the server, and have not brought them into Arachnid yet. This definitely feels like deliberate planning for when Wemmbu is in Arachnid and they need to test how much he's actually willing to obey orders to protect Egg.
But Dione. Dione. That person literally made it their life's mission to make rockets. Because Wemmbu told them so, like, a year ago. One of the so few people who actually think of him as a friend, and he has to threaten them to come with him. He has to kill their guards, and take away their whole purpose, their whole life, to make sure they don't do anything to Egg. The slow look Dione gives him when Yungy comes in, with the "Are you serious.", while Wemmbu refuses to even look at them is actually painful. And then they keep throwing each other looks until they get to the civ, Dione probably looking for an explanation, probably at some point noticing the distinct absence of Egg, maybe even connecting the dots. Wemmbu unable to even apologize because Yungy is there. Wemmbu nearly lets them escape. They are not getting out of this unscathed.
As they get back to the civ, the fog is suddenly very noticeably red. I have seen this being interpreted as like, Wemmbu losing himself to Arachnid, or kind of giving into their control but... honestly, I do not get this vibe. I think it's actually the opposite, more like the feelings of rage or instability on Wemmbu's part. He's just been forced to do that whole thing to his friend. He definitely did not like that, and besides he's too stubborn to just give into someone's control like that. If anything, that red light would signalise how mad he is actually getting at the situation, or how he actually doesn't like what they are forcing him to do at all. We'll get back to the red fog later on as well.
48:50 Wemmbu and Jaden trying to make sure Cod is safe by trying to get him promoted, and therefore made a regular citizen without any of the dangers the bottom-feeders have to face.
Invis particles in the storage room are very interesting. This invis person will show up a few more times during the video that I was able to catch. I have a few ideas on who this might be. My first guess is The Invis Guy from previous episodes, although the motive is a bit unclear. Their whole agenda was kind of weird - first they wanted Egg dead because he had some sensitive information, then they wanted him as leverage to get Wemmbu to their clients, and in the end they just gave him up to the highest bidder, making some money in the process? I cannot tell what they actually want, so I will consider them a possibility for now. In any case, there is no way they will not be relevant to the plot at some point. I was also thinking if this might be someone spying for Parrot, but considering how surprised he sounds when Wemmbu shows up at the end of the video, I do not think this is the case. Other than that, I guess it could be someone from Cindercrest? But no definitive guesses yet.
Could it potentially be Flame? From the few videos I have watched, it wouldn't seem too out of character for him to pop an invis and sneak around, but I am not caught up on his POV and don't know what his thought process might be here. Leaving it as a (very unlikely) possibility.
That whole following conversation with Cod is just sad. Cod genuinely believes Wemmbu and Jaden are so fundamentally different from him, accepting his fate being stuck down there, while Wemmbu tries to convince him to stick with them, offering to train him even, but eventually giving up when Cod asks them to leave. When he drops him the enchanted fishing rod (as Cod said, an extremely rare thing down there) and closes the door, his movements are so erratic, choppy, and all over the place. Immediately after, his voice stays in that low register, very monotone, and he's constantly looking up and basically trying to shrug off and ignore both the situation and Jaden's remarks. They both miss Cod already :(( but them actually respecting his view and leaving him alone, not forcing him into working with them, is a W.
54:20 Definitely one my favourite scenes in this video. "Honestly? You should ban him."
This is such an important moment. I would go as far as to say that this is one of the most important decisions Wemmbu has to make in this video. This is his chance to prove to Arachnid that they have his loyalty - or at least that he is going to follow their orders, and to start gaining their trust. He doesn't want to ban this rando that just tried to scam them, if it was up to him, he would just straight up leave and not waste his time, but what would happen if he said no to Yungy? It would be a signal that he is still thinking more like an individual than like their weapon. He cannot affort that. The back and forth glances at Jaden confirm this, he is trying to decide whether he should just follow this "suggestion" by Yungy (it is most definitely a test from Arachnid). And Jaden also understands that they do not have a choice this time, and goes along with it. Again, the music choice suggest this moment does not carry any positive feelings for Wemmbu, whether that would be the satisfaction of revenge or proving his power over other people again. This is not a power trip. This is a deliberate choice to gain trust in the eyes of Arachnid, by basically proving that he will do their dirty work and can be "manipulated" if the situation is framed correctly. Notice how the music doesn't change when Wemmbu realises they are being scammed - which would point to him starting to feel angry or want revenge. It only changes once Yungy suggests he bans that guy. And the music being a very low, threatening, almost dragging noise with the secondary echo, like a droplet of water falling onto a still surface. This action will have consequences, and Wemmbu has to play it right. The only reason Wemmbu laughs when he kills him is the godawful voice-changer, he does not get any satisfaction from this. I could definitely see how this could be interpreted as Wemmbu succumbing to that mindset of being a weapon and deciding to give into Arachnid, but to me it does not make sense. Wemmbu is still fighting them. He will play their game, and kill people they point him at, as long as he has to, but he is definitely not enjoying this, or planning on actually working with them once he has Egg. At this point, with all the shit they have been putting him through and still about to put him through, I am expecting Wemmbu to either take down the whole Kingdom of Caves, or at least kill Arachn1d (the player) as soon as he has the chance. But more on that in later scenes.
Also the absolute overwhelm of purple in this scene is crazy.
56:05 I am not exactly sure why, but Wemmbu is completely unable to pick up the diamond spear here. Not sure if this has any significance, but I thought it was interesting. Most likely a bug or a ping issue. Also not to over-overanalyse, but the way Wemmbu says "Okay." at this time stamp is the exact same way he says it when he's either lying, or just trying to go along with something.
56:49 Invis particles in front of them on the road again.
1:01:20 Everybody say thank you, Jaden, King of Pirates and comically long distractions. He understood the assignment perfectly, without any words necessary. Absolute blindsiding.
1:03:24 The houses of the highest ranking members of Arachnid being suspended and completely surrounded by cobwebs is such a good visual representation of how Arachnid works. The more power you are gaining, the less freedom you have, until you are completely stuck in the spider's web.
Also another metaphor that might just be reaching too far but. Yungy just, err... "showed" them how to use webs. Lmao. You need water to get out of them. Drain your opponent so they can't get out of your webs. The lowest level of the kingdom of caves having lakes of water, light, and just a few spider webs. The higher you go, the less water, and light, and more cobwebs and spiders around. The mansions are completely suspended in cobwebs, with no water around. You are quite literally trapped.
1:07:30 During the tavern fight, it is really interesting to me how none of the other members of royalty react. They don't say anything, they don't move to help, defend or even get out of the way, when it's one of their own attacking Wemmbu. It's like they are just puppets awaiting orders, having no care for anything else around them. Contrastingly, the only one who does speak is BanditKing, the only one not part of the royalty... Could be that they are just aurafarming though, as Wemmbu said.
1:14:00 The first proper "Wemmbu" fight of the video, AZALI music and all. I don't actually have much to say about it. Wemmbu has been shown time and again to never say no to a 1 vs however-many fight, no matter on whose side he might be. It's the mandatory mass murder part.
1:20:10 We finally have the Cindercrest-Arachnid alliance mentioned. We don't get too much info, but it kind of confuses me when Yungy says "[visitors from Cindercrest] that are part of the Arachnid Empire." Does it mean that there are members of Cindercrest that are also (or perhaps foremost) part of Arachnid? Or was he referring to Cindercrest as whole? He goes on to say that they have collaborated for a long time now, at least Saparata has, but then why was the Invis Guy in the previous episode trying to sell Egg to them like they were competing factions? Is this collaboration not publically known, or is something else going on? Could it have been an attempt to somehow break up this alliance? I'm really not sure right now, it's possible some of this stuff is incorrect or doesn't have the sort of meaning I ascribe to it.
Anyways, back to the video - the following conversation reveals that, to the surprise of no one, Yungy still doesn't trust them! At all. He definitely doesn't want them to rank up either. Either he knows they are planning shit, or he just hates them that much - or a combination of both, actually. This further being reinforced when he leads them to their new house, and it's the most run down thing in the kingdom, with a direct view of Yungy's mansion.
1:24:15 Jaden knowing immediately to distract Yungy. Again. I feel like I have missed some stuff, like - since when are these two such good friends? Or can at least cooperate so well? I suppose they had to work together during the Law, Wemmbu broke Jaden out of prison and also stopped Flame from killing him, and then they met again at the Great Sea - but maybe I just don't remember some of the earlier videos well enough to tell. But I think it is so important that Wemmbu doesn't have to do this shit alone and has a reliable, competent ally (friend?) with him. Either way go my promise duo
1:24:55 "I like fighting battles, but I like fighting them for myself." So him saying this is obviously very important in revealing his actual thoughts on the situation. Because from the battle it may have seemed like he was starting to enjoy being in Arachnid, but those words are such a clear sign that he is collaborating with Arachnid only because he has to, not because he is giving into being their weapon. At this point I would go as far as to say that sort of power doesn't hold any appeal to him anymore. I believe this was made very clear after the battle with Law - he doesn't feel the need to be the strongest anymore, he doesn't have anything left to prove to anyone, he just wants him and Egg to be left alone. Whatever Arachnid may promise him - he wants none of that.
Also not much of an observation, but I personally really like that we can hear a bit of his thought process as he infiltrates the castle.
1:26:28 Very silly detail. Do you see the colour of water? How muddy it is? Why does Wemmbu suddenly have a new texture pack? I don't think it's because they want the water to look different, so it has to be affecting something else - and I think it's the fog colour I have mentioned before (and will be mentioning again later on). I think this is a pretty strong indicator the fog changing colour is very intentionally used as a storytelling device, and not just a sunrise/sunset moment that randomly changes the fog colour.
1:30:50 That meeting room. That damn meeting room. What the fuck do you mean there are flames on the walls? Why are there flames on the walls???? I was losing my mind the first time I saw it and I'm losing it a second time now, because what do you mean a kingdom centered heavily around spider and web imagery and colours black and purple has a meeting room in their castle with hellfire on the walls, lined with literal campfires. That is so, so out of character for Arachnid. It doesn't make any sense for Arachnid... of course, if it even is Arachnid in the first place. So.
A small conspiracy theory ahead.
For being separate factions, Arachnid and Cindercrest seem to work very closely together in this video. The Invis Person from last videos at least was convinced they were serapate factions. But it almost seems like at times, Arachnid is taking orders directly from Saparata. And that meeting room in the castle, with the damn flames on the walls? So here's the thing - what if Arachnid is just a part of Cindercrest? A faction? Maybe they weren't always part of it, but at least now they are kind of like a subgroup of it. They already have FlameFrags in Cindercrest, who was brought in by Lomedy, who talked directly to Saparata (to my limited knowledge, do correct me if I'm wrong please), meanwhile Arachnid has taken Egg hostage and effectively secured Wemmbu. Seems like a pretty good plan to take the closest friends of two of the server's strongest players, use them to gain control over these players, and point them against your biggest enemy, King ParrotX2.
Also, if my multiple points about stuff being planned is true - stuff like Yungy being portrayed so antagonistically, playing the "bad cop", setting Wemmbu up to have to threaten and take Dione into Arachnid, all of the effort to make Wemmbu feel like he belongs to Arachnid and Egg is definitely safer here than anywhere else as long as he continues obeying them and playing as their weapon - well... it would make a lot of sense if Saparata was the one behind it all. I think Yungy saying "Arachnid and Saps are working together, and Saps is the leader of Cindercrest" (1:20:20) would support this theory. Arachn1d is just a puppet of Saparata.
Take this with a grain of salt, or less, though. I'm not even sure if I would believe it right now. But that stupid meeting room is genuinely haunting me.
By 1:33:25 Wemmbu is getting really fed up with Arachn1d.
1:34:40 Yungy is very suprised Wemmbu is getting a promotion that quickly. Unfortunately, it looks like Arachn1d might have dug himself a bit of a hole. He needs Wemmbu in the highest ranks so he can parade him around as the kingdom's weapon, but at the same time he cannot just grant him that rank because Wemmbu will just take Egg and run. That's why this whole episode is supposed to be the slow rise from the bottom, doing missions and assumedly aclimatizing Wemmbu to taking orders from Arachn1d and Yungy and serving as a weapon to the kingdom. Unfortunately, not only is Wemmbu not having any of that, Cindercrest and Arachnid are in a fucking war. They need Wemmbu yesterday. Sure, they didn't lose any battle yet, but they really need to start utilizing his presence to drive down Parrot's and his army's morale. And so we get this really awkward moment when Wemmbu is rising through the ranks way too fast and Yungy absolutely hates it. He cannot believe what he's seeing. Additionally, Wemmbu is getting progressively more pissed of. Not only is Arachn1d making Wemmbu his enemy, at this point I think Yungy's loyalty is gonna start coming into question.
And we are finally at the battle, starting around 1:36:30. This one is really interesting to me. The pep talk Wemmbu gives himself before he actually kills Paramout makes it clear just how serious he is taking this mission. He is clearly stating his goal, he waits for the right moment - this is the same guy whose's strategy going into 2v1000 was "Just win, bro." If he genuinely just wanted to kill some people for funsies, he would just drop down on them. Another bit of evidence pointing towards Wemmbu not going to team with Arachnid once he has the chance.
Also the music is... wrong? He is macing these players, yet his usual music doesn't play (it starts later on). Instead we have a very tense song, with the violin tremolo invoking something like a spider on a web, and the piano in some places being very dissonant. During the whole battle, Wemmbu doesn't say anything, nor does he laugh, or make fun of his opps, other than to aggro them on him. This is another fight he is definitely not enjoying. He definitely sounds very low energy compared to his usual in-battle voice.
1:40:38 Here it almost looks like Wemmbu hesitates before turning around from Parrot's kingdom.
This whole scene where Arachn1d is giving Wemmbu the position as his second in command - replacing Yungy - is such a punch in the gut. The parallels with the Law are insane. It's basically the same situation - Wemmbu being paraded in front of a crowd, by the leader of that civilisation, while they want to somehow use him to establish their presence and power and take over the server - whether it's by executing him, or by giving him power with literal strings attached. That fog in the background changing to red is I think very strongly suggestive of the absolute rage Wemmbu must be feeling at that moment. And why wouldn't he? Its the same goddamn thing, with the added element of the hostage blackmail. It's the Law all over again, and don't tell me you wouldn't be fucking pissed off if you were in Wemmbu's position. That man is holding himself back from just straight up killing Arachnid at the spot, for Egg's sake. Arachnid telling him to ban Yungy if he doesn't get off the platform in time is just cementing that feeling in, that he's once again being used as nothing more than a weapon and/or a stepping stone for someone to gain power (looking at you, PrinceZam, briefly Egg during the Egg Empire, the Law (by Lettuce and also in the fight against Law) and possibly Jaron at the Sky civ). Wemmbu is quiet the whole time, and when Wemmbu is quiet, he's either genuinely mad, or being forced to do something he really, really doesn't want to do. He only has Gambit in his inventory, symbolizing his true value to Arachn1d - a weapon to be wielded.
1:44:15 Again, going to a higher level means leaving something behind. This time it's Jaden. His leitmotif playing in the background but all slowed down and sad and solo piano D:
1:44:40 Yungy is really mad LOL. At this point I don't know if he might be more mad at Arachn1d than Wemmbu though. I can possibly see Yungy helping Wemmbu and Egg escape in the future, or turning a blind eye, just out of spite, but at the same time he still just hates Wemmbu and knows he's only there to get Egg out. I am looking forward to seeing what he does in future videos.
Also Wemmbu just going around his big ahh mansion, that is very nice and spacious and he's there completely alone... yeah. The single thing he does outside of opening random chests and barrels is breaking a potted flower... which is a closed eyeblossom. Closed. Eyeblossom.
1:47:40 I think the order of places they are going to is very purposeful here. First armoury - don't forget what you are. A weapon. Then to visit Egg - don't forget why you have to obey. We have your best friend a hostage. And then to go receive orders.
1:49:10 Wemmbu pre-gaps. He is so paranoid (rightfully so).
1:49:30 I absolutely love that the moment Egg speaks up, the tension breaks. This is definitely a needed comedic relief moment. TAXDUO FINALLY ITS BEEN SO LONG
I do not trust a single word out of Arachn1d's mouth. There is no way Egg is actually being freed after that battle. What I think is more likely to happen is that now that Wemmbu knows where he's being kept, they will move him, and then threaten Wemmbu with his life if he doesn't listen to them.
1:53:00 FINAL BATTLE FINAL BATTLE
1:54:16 Is that Theo asking if Wemmbu is there to help them? Oh my god I'll actually-
1:56:00 I have to at least put this time-stamp here. Wemmbu spares Parrot on account of him saving Wemmbu in the previous episode, despite being probably extremely busy as the king. He just stands there as Theo blocks him off, and then instead of chasing after them turns around and starts hitting some random people.
I think this battle deserves more analysis but I am honestly getting fatigued atm. We all know it was awesome. And I still need to over-analyse the last two minutes of the video.
1:57:16 As was already discussed probably on every site ever, the scattered items flowing down river are a metaphor for the rivers turning red with blood. I really like this imagery.
1:57:20 Begins the final section of this video.
Before that, actually, I want to focus a little bit on what didn't happen during the battle.
Flame was there. The whole time. Not once did he try to approach Wemmbu with a challenge or even say anything to him. Wemmbu did not even acknowledge his presence, even though he definitely saw the death messages even before Arachnid joined the fight. At the end when they actually see each other for the first time, Wemmbu just turns vaguely in his direction and freezes. Completely ignoring the "Sup" Flame throws at him. It's such a stark contrast to any of their previous battles, whether they fought against each other or by each other's side. Because yeah. This is mostly Flame's fault. And I think Wemmbu is just really done with him this video. I have a lot more thoughts from the last few Wemmbu's episodes on their relationship but I think it would be a bit out of place here.
Imperial fire found dead-
When Saparata says "this city is responsible for providing the majority of food for Parrot's kingdom." Wemmbu locks in. I don't think there is a better way to describe it. He puts Saparata in his crosshair. And then he looks around as Saparata mentions Parrot's people starving to death, as if he's finally realising what actually happened in this battle. The consequences this destruction will have on the citizens.
I think there's also a multi-layered meaning to the song. Hopelessness, guilt and realisation of what he actually did. The insane conequences this will have. But also the underlying bass as his drive, the feeling of "this cannot continue".
And then he circles back to Saparata, again, putting him directly in his crosshair, but this time it's less shock and more Wemmbu... identifying the enemy. It feels like the realisation of
The way Wemmbu is standing on the roof, basically opposite of Cindercrest and Arachnid, I think strongly suggests that this might be the last time he's ever helped them. Saparata is using the same rhetoric other factions used before - us vs them - everyone who joins will be spared - for peace and prosperity - it must sound like copy paste Law bullshit to Wemmbu.
Bravo, Saparata, you've just signed your death sentence, and no FlameFrags or ShoeBilly will be enough to help you once Egg is out of Arachnid's hands. Rest in Ashes, Cindercrest.
Also the last few shots including Egg again, echoing the very start of the video, and Wemmbu's face hidden behind the Arachnid shield... I have hope. I genuinely do not think Wemmbu will be joining Arachnid or Cindercrest out of his free will, nor will he let them manipulate him through Egg any longer. Whether he joins Parrot, fucks off somewhere without conflict, takes over Arachnid, or something else... I think that will come down to a few factors here, which is what Arachn1d does with Egg after this battle, if Yungy will help them, and how much Wemmbu will want to take revenge on Cindercrest, Arachnid, and also FlameFrags for fucking him over in the previous episode.
I can't wait. This was Absolute Cinema.

Sooooo yeah. That's about it I think. I know not all of this will make sense, not every piece fits with every other piece, and most of this is just random ramblings but. It was kind of fun to write, so I hope if you've gotten this far, it was at least a bit of fun to also read.
But this took me legit like six-seven hours-

I am only caught up on Wemmbus POV. I have not much of an idea for what's happening in the other POVs, and I've only watched about half of the videos in the uu playlist so far, so this is purely based on Wemmbu POV.
This is my own interpretation so please don't come after me. If you have other ideas, I would love to hear them, but let's not argue about this stuff. No interpretation is more or less correct, and all are cool!
Uuuh English not first language so please excuse grammatical errors and sentences that make only half a sense.
Possibly let me know if you enjoyed reading this and if I should attempt to analyse previous / later videos as well or not tap the yap button ever again.
