Arachnid is getting openly power hungry. And it's honestly about damn time.
Wemmbu is his best card to play. His trump card, his golden trophy.
I think that Arachnid is doing ALL of this in an underrated-ly smart ASF way. He has learned from others controlling Wemmbu, he probably has been lurking ever since he joined the server. If this follows the path of Arachnid NOT being in the Mafia then I think he easily could have watched and just taken notes on what worked and what didn't. (also easily could follow him being IN the Mafia ofc)
I mean look at the Kingdom of the Caves civilization. You can't tell me you didn't clock similarities. It's an amalgamation of all the civs that have had a strong/prominent reign before.
It has royalty and the physical/cosmetic factor from TZS. A rank and supplies system from the Mafia. It has power over a "domain" like Clown's Nether Kingdom. It has the man power like the Law.
(the reason I didn't say Mafia is cus the Mafia and Law had different kinds of man power. they both brute forced their way through things but in a way the Mafia was more intricate while the Law just threw people at them)
It's s location is widely unknown like Skyblock, Farlands, and Furtherlands (I doubt Arach knew abt this), and also just the general bandit-ness as well is in the mix, that's how they've stayed like genuine cockroaches (I've totally missed some but you get my point)
Arachnid to me seemed to essentially combine all the best traits he could from past and current civs, and that is how he has lasted so long. He has restrained his hunger for power, and funnelled all of his efforts into that one singular thing for so long, but now it's coming out to play. He has an ally that is basically dominating the server and putting him in a position of absolute power, he has this power card of a person on a VERY long leash (one that ARACH is still holding onto), he is in a position move in on a dream that he has been working at for genuine YEARS.
Now this is a bit iffy, but hear me out.
Arachnid has had one singular goal for as long as we can remember. He wants to rule/be king of the server. He wants this power, and he has for so long. I said that he has funnelled all his efforts into this goal? THAT is why he is where he is now. THAT is why he is able to act a bit like a chud and honestly get away with it.
Everyone else wanted too much, they wanted to do too many things. They bit off way more than they could chew. I mean look at Lettuce for example. No one really batted an eye at him until Law, just like Arachnid and now. Lettuce told everyone a fake dream, and followed his own hunger into a prison cell.
Ok like come on I'm going to be so honest. Arach would show up and we'd be like "pfffft lol this guy" but now? Now do we look at laugh?
He is the actual underdog of the underdogs.
He spun the web that no one could see until they were caught by it. He is leading Wemmbu like you'd lead something with a rod and carrot.
Wemmbu isn't UNAWARE of this. He has no option, but it's also psychological-fuckinf-warfare.
He is fully ensnared by Arachnid, and he is fully aware of what he is doing. Headcannons that ive thought of, as well as some from peers (SHOUT OUT TO MY LOVELY UNSTABLIAN HEADCANNON-ERS YALL ARE MASTERMINDS) can make this wayyyy more angst and I'm ALL for it. Throw those bricks unkissed and I will welcome them with open arms (yes. I know what I said.)
But Arachnid has learned. that is my point from this huge yap. In all his chud-ness he has learned from watching and bideing his time. He learned what happens if you challenge Wemmbu, he learns what happens if you SIMPLY take Egg, he learns what happens if you get in Wemmbu's way, or cross him.
And he managed to spin a web in the smalllllllest nook that let him do ALL of these and get away with it (for now.)
