The Anwar Arrangement
When Robert Robertson the Third signs up for a discreet matchmaking website to fund Mecha Man repairs, he matches with Cirus Anwar: architect, widower, and the first person who has ever looked at Robert and seemingly wanted all of him, sharp edge and caustic wit included. What starts as an arrangement becomes something else entirely — and when Chad Anwar gets out of prison and comes home to find his father glowing and his new stepfather three years younger than him and exactly his type, the arrangement expands in ways nobody fully planned and everyone, eventually, chooses.
a FlamDadBert fic by @sunnyfrenchfries & @jackalopc
Note: This is a poly ship, but there's no incest! It's a V poly relationship and Robert is the hinge. Please mind the tags.
details below
Another little short ficlet for Cibert, because I love Cirus Anwar, obv. I'm gonna be real with ya on this, this one's basically just smut (mouth stuff 🙂↕️)
This is a fantasy AU though I've not gone into most of the specifics. Just be aware that this takes place in the far off kingdom of Kal-Iferene 🙂
@sunnyfrenchfries
The sun woke with Cirus, bound to him as marrow is bound to bone, as tide is bound to moon. As part of him as breath or thought; his hands and fingers.
Dawn broke with the lifting of his eyelids and light poured in from the open balcony, painting the white stone walls in a procession of colour. Muted amber. Bruised pink. Dazzling gold.
What’s one life to the world (oh, it used to be me, the woman in the mirror)
pt. 1 pt. 2 pt. 3
Writing and posting these drabble style or smth because I know I’ll lose my nerve otherwise; also, if you see this, hi, I'm the Anika Reincarnation anon haha... anyway, quick notes on this au, it was a thought that started haunting me slightly around the time I got very into Cibert, and sent an ask about the possibility of an au in which the Anwar family triad was Cirus, Anika, and Robert
And then I threw in the reincarnation concept into that boiling pot of ideas and these things started coming out.... it's become a thing I keep adding more and more notes to, so without much further ado;
Anika and Cirus belong to @sunnyfrenchfries
The essence of them

Cirus and Robert Anwar, Power Couple
Reverse AU, but Robert initially tried to be a hero in spite of Robbie, but everything he did caused harm, or he would be chased off by other heroes/citizens. Following this, he found he could actually do 'good' by being a villain, exposing weak points, hacking into weak systems, destroying abandoned and poor quality buildings. Sharing this all with Chad and Cirus, asking for advice, maybe? Go to town with this thought my friend.
Robert ends up telling them because Cirus had asked a question so precisely calibrated to the actual truth that deflecting it would have required more energy than Robert currently had. And for some reason, lately he has been so out of energy. IT only seemed to return when Cirus and/or Chad were present. So really, he would take lucidity where he could.
"You were trying to help," Cirus carefully probed, carding his fingers through slightly matted auburn hair, Robert's head on his lap, face up.
Robert looked at the ceiling of the room they kept him in. Spacious, more than adequate and honestly surprising for Los Angeles, notorious for its earthquakes. Still a prison. Maybe. Was it?
"The first time I hacked a city water system," he muttered, eyes sliding over to Chad, "I was seventeen and the pipes in the Eastside were corroded. The city knew, of course, they did, but nobody was doing anything." He paused. "I published the data and then lo and behold, media attention spiked and the city fixed the pipes. Three journalists got the credit." Another pause. "I got a restraining order from the municipal water authority." That one stung. He was naive and seventeen and just trying to fucking help however he could.
Chad, leaning in the doorway with his arms crossed, said nothing.
"The buildings were the same; condemned properties with families still in them because there was nowhere else to go. I'd go in at night, document the structural failures, and anonymously send the reports. "Anonymous. Thorough." Robert's mouth pulled at the corner. "The third time, someone called the police. The headline was Supervillain Terrorises Affordable Housing Complex." He stopped. "The math wasn't complicated. Heroes get parades, but villains... Villains get results. I stopped caring which one I was."
The room was quiet, filled only with the sound of breathing and the shift of clothes as the Anwar men glanced at each other, unease settling in.
Cirus was looking at him with the expression Robert had been trying to decode for weeks; the one that had too much warmth in it for a captor and too much certainty for a hero who should seriously be reconsidering his methods. Robert would know.
"Show me the reports," Cirus demanded. "I'm sure you still have them squirreled away somewhere, right?"
Robert looked at him. "Why."
"Because," Cirus explained, all the patience he had developed as both a father to 2 children and a CEO to an architectural company, "I build things. And I'd like to know what you found."
Robert looked at him for a long moment.
"You have access to my laptop," he marveled, sitting up a bit to look at Cirus better.
"I'd rather you showed me yourself."
