I really like the idea of Yamato getting his own crew/scabbards so I thought I'd compile a list of the people who I'd like to see join him and their potential roles.
Introducing...The Oden Pirates! We've got:
Yamato - He's the captain (of course) and the one who (again, of course) came up with their name.
Minatomo - Every good crew needs a good shipwright, and who better than the best carpenter in Wano who even taught Franky a thing or two.
Some and Chuji - This one's a little out of left field, but I think Some would like to get stronger so that she can help Sanji like he helped her, also she obviously has a crush on our boy sooo y'know. Her pet mouse Chuji would be the crews mascot/emergency food. Speaking of food, I think Some would make a good cook for the crew since she is already running a soba shop in the current story.
Bao Huang - Cute design, useful power, did nothing wrong, make my girl the lookout!
Who's Who - This one's interesting, I think he'd reluctantly join the crew with plans to betray them the first chance he gets, perhaps he'll attempt to get back in the government's good books by selling the crew out? I'm not sure what his position would be, I guess he's just the swordsman? Maybe he'll make himself vice captain? Who knows what Who's Who is gonna do.
Sasaki and Black Maria - Both of these characters didn't get that much play in the Wano arc, so let's throw them on Yamato's crew to complete our Tobi Roppo set.
Ulti and Page One - Ulti pledged allegiance to Yamato in the latest chapter, so this one is set in stone, I'm just not sure what their roles would be? Eh, they don't need a job, they can just vibe.
So, yeah, that's the crew! Now here's the sad sacks that didn't quite make the cut:
Shinobu and Tama - I was flip flopping on wether or not to put these two on the crew, mainly Tama, but I decided in the end that Shinobu would want to stay close to Momo and Tama would want to stay with Shinobu to complete her training.
Basil Hawkins - Dead? Not dead? It's unclear, we need an SBS to clarify this, but if he is alive then I would have put him on the crew since I think he was underdeveloped in Wano and it would be a shame to just leave such a cool character to rot in Udon.
King/Arber - If King joined and reunited with the Straw Hats we could get some more lore on the lunarians, but ultimately I don't think it'd make sense for Yamato to break him out of Udon just to make him part of his crew.
Kin'emon and Momo - As much as they'd love to meet the Straw Hats again, they still have plenty of work left to do in Wano. Momo and the Scabbards will reunite with the Straw Hats in the final battle, but for now, they remain in Wano.
