Only Hymenopterists will understand this one, but I thought it was funny. I couldn't find a high resolution copy of the meme, so the resolution of my drawing got reduced consequentially. For added context, this is a rare Chrysidid wasp in the subfamily Loboscelidiinae. They are Phasmid egg parasitoids!

These guys appeared identical to cuckoo wasps in every regard except for their size compared to others I’ve seen locally--they were tiny tiny, like the size of fruit flies. Juveniles, maybe?

These are adult chrysididae. They are holometabolous so the juveniles do not resemble the adults.

Aaaaaand it's done. Chrysis equestris. Drawn with coloured pencils. Man, it's been so long since I've drawn anything like this! I thought I had lost the ability to draw with coloured pencils! 😬
Woo! Halfway done! Heck yeah! I'm quite intrigued to see how it will look completely finished. Definitely making some progress. I will also have a separate numbered page with the names so people can correspond them with the right wasp. Stay tuned!
