Eeehhh I donāt think there really is one? I guess the closest I get is I think the fandom is speculating/projecting WAY too much about Vincent, and potentially setting themselves up for disappointment when the truth about him is revealed

Angela/Ash!! I know theyāre not canon to the manga but I find a gender-fluid fallen angel with warped/twisted views on purity and goodness to be SUCH a compelling character! I feel like given the time- and provided she wanted to, Yana could craft a really interesting, high-stakes arc around them

Anything and everything relating to antis. If you donāt like this kind of thing, just donāt read it, and donāt be a dick to the people who do like it. Iām also a lil tired of all the posts fighting back against antis- no shade to anyone who feels compelled to oppose them at every turn, but seeing it all over my dash all the time is just wearing š¤·š½
Less common, but complaints about how long the wait between chapters is, and that the most recent chapters have been focused on developing background characters. Like Yana is a human being who doesnāt deserve to be worked into the ground, give the story room to go where itās gonna go

4: Setting: I havenāt given a specific place for this AU yet, havenāt been decided on a country, but imagine this; (pandemic-free, lol) 2021, so as modern as you could get. Maybe yesterday, or three minutes ago. Brick buildings and busy streets. The tight, discomfort from a new doctors office and an unforgiving school.
11: Character I have most in common with: Goodness, thatās a hard question to ask a writer!! I have a habit of self-projecting parts of myself into different characters, itās never centered on one. Sort of like my in-progress OW (donāt mind the tangent)ā my two boys, Sebastian and Lance. I put pieces of who I was into Lance: my struggles and fears, the person I threaten to regress to when things get tough. And then with Sebastian, I channel who I *want* to be into him. Strong and capable, stable and carefree. Heart of a child and still able to be hard when needed.
Now, back into therapy au: I see bits of myself in Ciel and Seb, to be honest. The hurt and struggling Ciel with urges to lean on substances (be it good or otherwise) and media to get through unwanted emotions, not people, out of fear. And then Sebastian, who is a bit like a puppy; wants to please the people he likes, and help those who need it.

I had to really think about this... To an extent, maybe my grandfather... in the sense, Iād like to be able to provide what he could, and remain a kind man in doing so. Itās the one example I have of a cishetman in my life, that didnāt have deep-rooted rage issues or act like complete pissbaby when it came to responsibility to their spouses, families, and households. He is a very kind, very responsible man. I genuinely believe he operates always doing...what he believes is the right thing to do. I love my grandfather...But heās also in a very abusive christian cult. š¬ So? Itās kind of bittersweet-- thereās layers to it.Ā

Deep, endless space eclipsing the peacock-blue of his eye, voice growing from knowingly demure to commanding, āI believe it is time for you to offer me tribute.ā
Sebastianās breath grew heavy, making him acutely aware of each contraction and relaxation of his diaphragm. His mouth grew moist with desire, mind racing with carefully catalogued memories, only one of which was as yet unknown to his master.Ā
āTribute?ā Sebastian said, drawing out each syllable with a wicked grin. He felt endless roots of electricity surge through his human circulatory system, strengthening in voltage as he approached the young man.
āWorship,ā Ciel spat imperiously, tilting his chin up ever so slightly, a knowing smile overtaking his lips. The dust of stars lingered in the air as he spoke, drawing Sebastian in, closer to the bed, closer to his sonorous lord.

He wondered how many times they had been marvelled at, prayed to, shared the deepest secrets, hopes, and despair of those long gone.

I actually am very happy because I have the skeleton of the fic almost completely done so I am probably going to try to start writing very soon!
In the original OW that this inspired, the MC had a foster mom who was his mentor and confidant, and as I was plotting this story I realized that Mute Seb needed someone like that too. I knew he needed someone to help him after his injury (that made him mute) so that heād be able to put his life together and get to the point where he is in the present of the story.
So, as I was thinking about this, I realized it would be nice if it was his occupational therapist (the person who essentially helped him learn how to adjust to the life changes his injury caused, to put it simply) who took an interest in him and wanted to help.
And the one character that immediately sprang to mind for me was Sieglinde. So in this story, Sieglinde and Lizzy (her wife) become Sebās pseudo adoptive parents. Sieglinde is fluent in ASL and is largely responsible for helping Seb adjust to his new life and learn to be independent. Sheās also the one person that heās really close to at the start of the story.
Another character who Seb ends up befriending is Finny, who he works with. I was actually imagining their interaction just this morning. Finny is a chatterbox--one of those people who feels compelled to fill silences, and since Seb canāt speak, Finny talks even more.
At first, Seb finds Finny irritating, but he soon grows to like him since Finny is one of the few people who truly doesnāt treat him differently despite not being able to speak. He quickly adapts his manner of talking so Seb can answer with a shake, shrug, or nod, and he even learns a few basic signs likeĀ āFINEā andĀ āTHANK-YOU.ā
Seb keeps a small whiteboard at his desk at work and thatās what he uses for a quick communication with his boss or coworkers, and I think on occasion when he arrives in the morning, heāll find a cheerful message or drawing from Finny on it.
This is some of the interaction I imagined that may or may not end up in the actual story itself.
Finny says something that makes Seb smile:

āYouāre smiling! See! I knew you could! Hold on. Iāll be right back.ā Finny hopped up from his seat and rushed over to Grey, who was a few feet away at the printer station.
āHe smiled. See. Pay up.ā
Grey glanced toward Sebastian and scowled before pulling some cash from his wallet and reluctantly slapping it into Finnyās waiting hand. Without a word, he grabbed his paper from the printer and stalked off toward his workstation.
Sebastian grabbed his whiteboard and wrote out a hasty message as Finny skipped back to his desk happily. You bet on me? Iām not a fucking horse.
Finnyās sunny expression soured. He grabbed his chair and brought it around so he could sit near Sebastian, wanting to keep their conversation discreet.Ā āGrey was making fun of you. He said you couldnāt smile because your face didnāt work right just like your voice. So I told him that was mean and not true, and Grey insisted on betting. I accepted because I wanted to prove he was wrong.ā Finny offered Sebastian the cash.Ā āYou can have the money.ā
Sighing, Sebastian shook his head. I donāt need you to defend me, he wrote. Then added, hearing Sieglindeās voice in his mind insisting he needed to be appreciative of kindness, But thank you. Once he was done writing, he showed Finny the message.
āAh, Iām glad youāre not mad at me. If you donāt want the money, then maybe I could take you out to eat? My treat. Well. Greyās, I guess.ā
Sebastian shook his head. He really didnāt want to get into why he couldnāt accept Finnyās invitation, so instead he pointed to his computer to indicate he had to get back to work.
āAh. Right. Sorry! And I wouldnāt be your friend if I let Grey talk bad about you and didnāt say anything.ā Finny grinned and wheeled his chair back to his station, leaving Sebastian frozen for a moment over the fact that Finny actually considered him a friend.
