We continue our careers as Tokusatsu Stuntmen in CHROMA SQUAD

I've seen someone recomend this game on the topic of Tokusatsu-like things just a bit back and right now the game was on sale so I decided to try it out and it's just so addictive and good.

Even the Steam reviews are so full of love for this game and DESERVED.

It's basically about this group of stunt actors being fed up with their director, so they decide to make their own studio and create superhero shows. Heavily inspired by Super Sentai/Power Rangers, you create your own Tokusatsu shows.

If you've ever played Pokémon Black/White 2 you might be reminded of the movie studio which it really feels like but as a whole game and actually fun even over time :'D

You build up your own studio, buy props for the actors, answer emails, sign marketing contracts, etc etc. and then you go and shoot episodes for your show in a turn-based gameplay while you have instructions you can follow for bonus points (like "Defeat all enemies in 5 turns").

There's so much love put into this game and everything about it is so precious, the style looks so nice, the soundtrack is a banger and you can even costumize different terms and catchphrases. Like you can name the characters, name the big mecha, what they say when they transform...

Currently I might or might've not made my game Kamen Rider Ryuki themed >:]

It's weirdly fitting too because it's just like the Hyper Battle Video where everyone was fighting together...

Another thing that's great are the messages you see after releasing an episode!

When looking through the Steam reviews before playing I also found out that the Dev pulled such a sick move and did a whole presentation in an event backed by NFT bros AGAINST NFTs :)

Beating each level, or episode, of your given series in Chroma Squad is only one part of the equation, as the show will only be able to continue with enough funding. After very episode, the player gets some money from audience ratings, which they then use to upgrade their equipment, outfits, and other aspects of the production. This ensures that players aren’t just finishing each level as quickly as possible, but focusing on optional extras to gain even more audience conversion.

Don’t really know when maybe try for next week or something but I kinda want to stream Croma Squad seeing that I never finished it on my old YouTube channel. Kinda want to get that ball rolling again.
