These Christmas Tree Peanut Butter Blossoms are a fun take on a traditional holiday cookie. The peanut butter cookies are shaped like Christmas trees and topped with chocolate Hershey's Kisses and colorful M&M ornaments, making them an ideal holiday treat.
Ingredients: 1 cup creamy peanut butter. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1/2 cup packed brown sugar. 1 large egg. 1 tsp vanilla extract. 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1 tsp baking soda. 1/2 tsp salt. 36 chocolate Hershey's Kisses, unwrapped. Green food coloring. Red and yellow M&M candies for decorating.
Instructions: Start by heating the oven to 350F 175C. When you put the softened butter, peanut butter, white sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl, mix them together until they are light and fluffy. Mix the egg and vanilla extract into the peanut butter mixture until everything is well mixed together. Mix the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt together in a different bowl. Mix the dry ingredients in slowly while adding them to the peanut butter mixture. Keep doing this until the dough comes together. Add green food coloring to the dough until it is the color you want for the Christmas trees. Mix until the color is spread out evenly. Make 36 small balls out of the dough and place them on a baking sheet that hasn't been greased. Leave about 2 inches of space between each ball. After the oven is hot, bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden. Watch out not to bake too long. Take the chocolate Hershey's Kisses out of the package while the cookies are baking. Press a Hershey's Kiss into the middle of each cookie as soon as they come out of the oven. It's okay if the edges of the cookies crack a little. Immediately put red and yellow M&Ms on the Hershey's Kisses to make Christmas tree ornaments. Let the cookies cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before moving them to a wire rack to cool all the way. When the cookies are completely cool, you can eat them as cute Christmas Tree Peanut Butter Blossoms!
