Masterjohn says people routinely share their lipid results in the comment section of his blog. And he notes paleo blogger Jimmy Moore of Living La Vida Low-Carb shares his latest blood ketone level, an indicator of fat metabolism. Masterjohn says he understands why people like finding out this stuff about themselves: "I would runs lots of tests on myself if I had the money for it," he says.

I got this question and obviously had to edit it. I hate to even address it, but I get stuff about this on Nikoley’s blog/Paleohacks/ and my own blog comments. So it has to be done.

While I fully admit that my relationship with Chris tamed me quite a bit, mainly because his career was built on writing and researching this stuff and I couldn’t be a loose cannon for his sake. However, our breakup was mutual and not bitter at all. I simply could not convert to his religion and when I told him that, I knew I was breaking up with him as well since it is very important to him. I went through a lot of soul-searching during that time, trying to make myself believe in something that I ultimately could not believe in. It can't work out for every relationship. Some people have great short term chemistry, but in the long run are incompatible. 

Some people have tried to say that he was with Denise while he was with me, which is totally untrue and disrespectful to all parties involved. They kindled their relationship awhile after we had broken up. And that time I had also moved on to a new relationship. Chris and I still correspond and I wish him the best.

The only thing that hurt was that I feel I was treated differently by the “community” once I was not part of a couple. And also being subject to rude/hateful trolling and teasing because of it. 

Chris and Denise are both ex-vegans and therefore their writing gets read by people outside the confirmation bias club. Maybe for that reason and the fact that they are both very intelligent, they produce some really solid work. There isn’t much of that quality in the community. 

This ad hominum personal stuff about me is just another silencing tactic. I was critical of the people I am critical of when I was dating Chris, I just wasn’t as open about it as I can be here because at the time there were things in the way.
