Chris x Issac with related stims

Y’know how when stars blow up into supernova, the shock wave can trigger stellar formation in surrounding areas? No? Just me?

That’s kinda how I see Chris’s character. He’s there to stir the pot and get things moving. To create turbulence and drama that will eventually bring Isaac and Nigel together to form something new within their story.

But there needs to be more than this subplot, and idk what that is yet. Isaac has shown growth. And that he cares, and that he’s conflicted in his feelings. I don’t think he’s shown yet that he’s in love, or that he knows he’s in love. I don’t think that step is going to come from Chris.

What a horrible thought! Not because I hate Chris - I don't care either way - but because Nisaac have MORE than enough internal conflicts/communication issues that the writers haven't allowed them to address at all, so the last thing they need is yet more pointless drama and additional obstacles thrown in there! Just my opinion

Well, I mostly wonder if the original intention was to ACTUALLY have him back for Halloween and then end his role there, but I think the second season of High Potential was filmed around the same time.

But I’m thinking of the kind of conflict that makes progress. Obvi these two don’t need anything else to drive them apart, but the Chris conflict around Halloween I think actually brought them a little (LITTLE!) closer together. And I don’t mind drama if that is the end goal of it. In fact I welcome it! There can be conflict that leads to them confronting things, confessing things. Seeing each other in a way they hadn’t before.

But now I’m thinking about how the last thing Nigel said to him chronologically was “you need help”

Ultimately I don’t think Nigel and Chris should’ve had anything other than a fling. Idk if they even would’ve been together if Chris hadn’t left, since he didn’t really seem interested in Nigel. I think it would’ve just led to Nigel getting his heart broken in person rather than by proxy with Isaac.

I don’t know how their dinosaur conversation even led to them kissing to begin with, they only said two sentences to each other on screen so it’s hard to tell if they have any interesting chemistry. But generally I would love to see how side characters interact away from the main cast. It’d be so interesting to see their personalities come through.
