I got to go to a choir festival on Thursday :)
It was so much fun! We sang 5 songs: 3 a capella, one with really cool piano accompaniment, and one with full orchestra accompaniment. And the best part is that I got to miss all of school that day :) :)

Guys -- slight panic
I just got mail from our conductor that a song that was supposed to be performed next spring (because the tempo and the harmonies is so difficult) is to be sung in our concert in like 14 days
I think I might be responsible for this because at the previous rehearsal I noticed that I could sing it almost by heart and the conductor was just smiling happily because it used to be such a struggle--ohhh
but now I got the OH NOES what if last rehearsal was just some kind of accident and I really don't know the song that well...
only one solution ---- practicepracticepracticepractice
(we just don't have any more rehearsals together before the gig :O )

Guys!! I'm singing this with my choir! it sounds amazing :) We're going away to the countryside for the weekend, the whole choir, and we'll be just practicing this among other fantastic renaissance pieces. I'm so excited even though it means I can't tumblr until late Sunday night / Monday morning :D
ok guys I'm having a serious pre-gig-nausea, OMG tomorrow our choir will sing in this big university concert with a bunch of other choirs...ohhh if I could just jump into the moment we're already on stage and skip all this worrying!!
I even taped a pic of Beethoven on the inner back cover of my note folder, no one can see him but I know he's there hiding under the papers:D lol. It happens to be Ludvig's name day tomorrow---maybe a good sign *o*
(and in case anyone's interested were performing Hindemith, Sibelius and some Scandinavian contemporary stuff which has weird jazzy chords...eeek)

so I was supposed to practice Hindemith's Six Chansons this afternoon and just miraculously fell asleep for 2 and half hours. Go figure...
