+ IMO there’s something to appreciate about HoN’s existence as Dota 2 before Dota 2 was actually a thing. To this day I still feel like HoN’s the only moba on the market that actually plays like DotA and understood what makes dota a good game, as i’ve said for a long time every other moba on the market just feels like a washed up League. (I cant speak for the more recent HoN though, i havent played since dota 2 came out lol)

+HoN when I was in it was absolutely the most hyper aggressive moba meta i’ve seen in my life. Only game where I’ve seen people with negative GPMs because they’re dying so much in a pro setting

+I miss Electrician and Nomad

~ I have like a love/hate relationship for the absolute foulness of the community. I feel like I like the lore of how HoN was a wasteland where reports might as well of not existed, and flaming was not just the norm but socially expected. Obviously this made the game an absolute nightmare to actually play but the screenshots were legendary

-game is so horrendously ugly. super shiny particular effect mess. Also committed the horrendous, basic entry level knowledge, sin of not having your skins be a completely different fucking model from the base hero. How the fucking hell am I suppose to know if I’m new to the game that the dude who was a big beetle man last game is now this knight on a horse, hello?

Yeah I’ll get this message for really stupid sites like WhatIsMyIP or proxy info sites too. Only seems to be in campus buildings though. Never had this problem on the dorm wifi network.
