When she was a child, Choco had an Overblot and ended up at Styx.

It turned out her condition was quite unusual because, instead of simply disappearing at the end of her Overblot, her Blot ghost didn’t fully go away and continued to haunt her.

Since her unstable condition had never been observed at Styx, and she seemed to have no family because she was an orphan, she was taken in by a Styx member who adopted her. (allowing Styx to observe her and try to improve her condition)

Styx researchers actively tried to make this hostile ghost disappear from Choco, but they didn’t succeed. All they could do was lessen the effects of the Blot ghost so it would stop communicating with Choco or manifesting physically.
