33. In the face of criticism, is your character defensive, self-deprecating, or willing to improve?

It depends on what she’s being criticized for -- but typically pretty defensive. Ellie’s the type of person who strives to be the best at everything she does, and has always been very naturally talented academically and expects that her work will be a cut above everyone else’s, so when someone starts to criticize it, she’s definitely going to defend herself.

If someone were to criticize her artistic or musical talent (or lack thereof), she would definitely be more self-deprecating, as she knows she has exactly zero ability in that area.

43. Has your character ever had a dependent figure who was not related to them?

Nope! The only dependent figure she’s ever had has been Toccata. :)
