So me and @cherry-knight are doing Pencilcat's daily improvement challenge found HERE

The First Day's prompt is Self Portrait, but Chess is also doing the Mahou Shoujou challenge and that prompt was Exorcist,

so this is my self insert based on the time I was told by a psychic I was an exorcist in a past life. I imagine he's a lot less calm under the surface but he's much better at presenting professionally than I am.

Let's go for a Dragonfable one this time! Specifically, I want to talk about the plot of How Our Bodies, Born To Heal!

I've alluded to this fic before (in my "ask me about my wips" ask game) but despite it being one of my wips that actually has a name, I've not actually written any of it yet! A few planning notes and a couple of lines of scattered dialogue but nothing of substance, so it's still firmly in daydream zone for me

It's about Katia Danao! The plot is that, once she graduates from Edelia and leaves home, Katia takes up adventuring in a sort of aimless way, not really sure what she wants to do or who she wants to be or anything, especially given the grief she's grappling with, since Barvra died right before she graduated.

And then, very abruptly, she finds something to dedicate herself to, because she manages to discover, via a friendly mage who noticed and is genuinely surprised that she didn't know, that her bloodline is oh-so-very cursed (thanks for that, Tanislav & Roirr!) and she is not having any of that, thankyouverymuch. Katia's on a mission now and that mission is breaking that curse.

Mea Culpa:

Sometimes I think about how Notha is very morally grey, and how much mileage I can get out of guilting her, out of pointing out her own hypocrisy to her face. This fic is me exploring what would happen if she feared getting called out on her bullshit, but is also a chance dissect Notha, because I support women's wrongs as well as women's rights, although it's getting a bit too raw for me, and so I'm taking a break by writing Orpheus and Eurydice.

40 Questions — Meme for Fic Writers

I mean The List of all the fics that I have concepted and in progress is available for viewing on my blog under “writing projects” so.  74, currently, not counting original fiction.  But in terms of what’s in my brain right now, there’s like four different fics that I’m thinking of at any given moment.  The one that I’m thinking of the most right now is one that isn’t on The List yet since it’s for Star Wars and I don’t feel remotely comfortable writing for that yet.
