#cheepip

The party made their way to Fandolin and delivered their cargo, going into town to find lodging and supplies. We got a lot of sidequests. None of them are turning out well.

Cheepip learned of the Redbeards, cruel bandits that terrorized the town. Everyone lived in fear. The one man that stood up to them was murdered and his wife and daughters disappeared, presumably kidnapped by the Redbeards. Cheepip made a promise to everyone that gave him information to kill the redbeards and free the town.

We learned that the Redbeards were in a manor on the top of a hill. Their leader was “Glasstaff”, a wizard no one had ever seen. There were orcs in the forest to the east, and a secret passage through the woods. All of the party except for Cheepip went to scout out the manor. Cheepip stayed in the town, watching over it to protect it.

Cheepip was lead to a shrine where they met Sister Garail. She told them about a banshee that knew many things, including possibly the location of a legendary spellbook. While there, Cheepip learned that Glasstaff had not only the human redbeards, but unknown monsters that were incredibly powerful.

At the same time, the party investigating the manor splits as Drevan and Nelnal are caught. They charm the guards by saying that they are recruits, but are taken to meet Glasstaff directly. The other two are left hiding outside.

The last time a guard took Cheepip’s family, they never got them back. All Cheepip knows is that their friends are in danger that their friends don’t know about, and Cheepip will die before they see any harm come to the people they love.
