I don’t ship Snily but once I read a fanfic where Harry was the biological son of Severus with only Lily knowing. In this scenario, what do you think happens when and if Severus learns the truth and how much the story changes?
Honestly, I’m not a big fan of that premise because Harry’s entire point is that he’s a carbon copy of James physically. If he were Severus’ son, his appearance would have to change completely. He wouldn’t be the Harry we know; he’d be someone entirely different because he wouldn’t resemble James.
On top of that, I don’t really see how the argument holds up. Severus resents Harry not because of Lily, but because he sees James in him. Every time he looks at Harry, he’s seeing James. So if Harry didn’t look like James, why would Severus be so triggered by him? It wouldn’t make much sense.
