Norsery Rhymes from A to Z Drifa, The Flurry of Snow Horse
Well here we are on another ThorsDay with another 20 min sketch of a Norse (and Germanic, sometimes Celtic) mythological characters. Ā This week itās Drifa / DrĆfa / Driva, a mythic snow horse.
Her name means in Old Norse, āsnowfallā, or āa flurry of snowā, or āfall of snowā, or āsnowdriftā, or āthe driving snowā. Ā All indicating a heavy snowfall. Al from the Proto European ādhreybhā meaning ādrivingā or ādriftingā.
Not to be confused with the Jotun / Giant of the same name or the Jotun / Giant descended Queen and personification of snow of the same name. The first of which Iāll link to my previous drawings and descriptionsĀ here and here, and the later here.

Iām so sorry for not posting yesterday. I got in the zone of drawing and ended up noticing way past the normal time I post. So for future post, I have an alarm on just in case.
008: This creatures is commonly breed for combat. Due to its highly defensive capabilities it has been used in multiple human wars. Unlike it's charismatic first form, this creature always seems to be stuck in a bad mood, and is always willing to get into a fight. Considering it's shell is comparable to the to some metals it's defensive capabilities are much higher then average. Changes: scale on the forehead has grown into a captain america-esc face mask. armor-like Scales forming on forearms and lower leg to give a slight impression of gloves and boots.
