7, 10, 38 and 47, for any character(s) you like :D
In that case, Iâm going to mix and match. Thanks for asking! :)
7. Did they have lots of friends as a child? Did they keep any of their childhood friends into adulthood?
Kate has always been a very social person but the kind that has many friends and no close ones. So she didnât grow up lacking for friendship but she did kind of always feel on the outside. Everyone seemed to like her but they always liked somebody else more, you know? She kept in contact with a lot of her childhood friends during college, some of them even came to her wedding, but the war kind of made that lifelong friendship thing a moot point. I think sheâs happier now, finding people she can actually depend on instead of people to go out and have a drink with.
10. Do they like children? Do children like them? Do they have or want any children? What would they be like as a parent? Or as a godparent/babysitter/ect?
Sen loves children. He has a bit of a soft spot for them because theyâre just so much less weighed down than adults. Sometimes that gets awkward because a giant hulking Qunari apostate is not something children are naturally drawn to. He usually brings them around with fun stories and the occasional absolutely frivulous display though. And climbing onto the Inquisitors horns kind of becomes a sport with children in Skyhold post-ending.
He does sort of want children, and he can certainly imagine saving a street urchin but he doesnât want to do it alone and with Dorian so far away it never really comes up. I bet theyâll do it eventually.
Heâd be a terribly indulgent father though, heâs much better with subtle manipulation than the parenting sort of guidance that would be needed. Heâd be the cool dad.
38. What do they admire in others? What talents do they wish they had?
steadfastness, humor, security in your own character, the ability to say no, the ability to shake things off - Kate kind of admires and envies those things in others. She doesnât see them in herself and she definitely wishes for them sometimes. As for talents ... she wishes she was able to sing. Which isnât really the kind of talent you need in the Commonwealth most days, but there it is.
47. How do they act in a formal occasion? What do they think of black tie wear? Do they enjoy fancy parties and love to chit chat or loathe the whole event?
I like to imagine that post-Hoover Dam Vegas likes to party, and a lot. Sometimes itâs the good kind of party, but sometimes itâs the formal kind of party. And, as everyoneâs favorite problem solver (whoalsoholdsthekeytoeveryoneâsdoominherhandwhoops), Sam obviously gets invited. And she hates it. Oh, does she ever. Her kind of party involves campfires and getting way too drunk; they certainly donât involve putting herself into party dresses and heels and pretending to be sophisticated for an evening. So, sheâs generally uncomfortable with the whole affair if she canât find a way to get out of it in the first place. She usually starts finding them bearable at around midnight, when nobody cares anymore that she kicked the heels off hours ago and the worst people have already left. Still, she much prefers her private parties though - gotta use that giant casino for something.
