Then, I started feeling a bit of a breeze.

Behind me.

So I turned around.

And my cape was... wagging?

Why?

What the hell was that, some secret mechanic Gemma put in? But what's the point?

Lilla was totally smirking. I tried to sit on my cape to hide it, but nope. The damn thing wouldn't stop.

I don't know what its deal was.

It was so hard to act natural while everyone else kept talking. I think I heard Alma snort, trying to hold back a laugh.

You can't even begin describe the pained noises you're hearing on the tape right now. A horrible mashup of human screaming and television static.

You drum your fingers on the table beneath them as you listen to this archival audio, hoping that maybe, somehow, it'll get better.

It doesn't. Through the pained noises, you can make out the sound of what would seem to be smashing glass. You cringe, thinking of your now permanently scared hands, forever damaged by that prolonged, messy incident.

"I don't know why I'm recording this…" The voice on the other end sobs. "Who's gonna want to listen? Eh? That's right, no one. No one cares about Phonies, and I- And I was the same, I didn't realise…I didn't realise the were alive, like actually alive, I just thought…"

So, I relied on the third variable.

Lua the Undying Guardian of Negativity and Oraxia the Fallen Guardian of Scholar's Landing

A Spirit without a body and a Body without a Spirit. The hand that guides and the Weapon that rends. These two are bound together for the sake of one another. Where one goes the other is not far behind. Lua is ever hunting down his former body to stop its reign of terror. Oraxia seeks to ease her guilt for all the things she did when wielded by an unworthy hand.

Lua gave up his former name to become someone stronger. Beware, he will not handle being called by it well. He spent decades stuck in the cycle of his fractured memories, cracking them more and more. Even now he risks falling back into that cycle if he stops moving forward. He leans on Oraxia to know how to keep moving forward.
