I don't know how to do that, but I'll try.

I'm a woman. I'm Italian. I am a very huge nerd, although I'm also a sport addict. I've been in love with Lightning Farron since 2010. Tamsyn Muir is my guiding spirit.

This blog was born to give home to my logs, which are my personal interpretations of the characters in the game as I play. Currently, I'm playing Monster Hunter Wilds, and I plan to continue playing it for a while. So, for now, my posts will be about my hunter Meg - she hates being called Meg, though, thinks it's a stupid name.

My true goal is being an idiot.

The Gypceros is not a scary monster.

But apparently, he's a comedian. And the punchline is me.

I was taking him on with my usual skill, when he flashed a light right in my face.

Did I know he was gonna do that?

Yes.

Did I completely forget?

Absolutely.

I was too busy pulling off an ultra-cool Dual Blades combo.

I couldn't see a thing. So I, uh, tripped. And I might have had some convulsions. Again, I couldn't see much, but I vividly remember that Gypceros' big fat ass shaking right in front of me. He was dancing.

Then thump, thump. He snaps his tail.

And the last thing I remember is the feeling of flying.

The bastard thought he was so funny. I got my revenge big time, though.

... Even if he did manage to pull off that same punchline at least a couple more times before that.

I had just saved Kunafa from a pissed-off Rey Dau. We had gathered around to talk about the climate changes.

Then, I started feeling a bit of a breeze.

Behind me.

So I turned around.

And my cape was... wagging?

Why?

What the hell was that, some secret mechanic Gemma put in? But what's the point?

Lilla was totally smirking. I tried to sit on my cape to hide it, but nope. The damn thing wouldn't stop.

I don't know what its deal was.

It was so hard to act natural while everyone else kept talking. I think I heard Alma snort, trying to hold back a laugh.

Goddammit.

Right there, leaning in front of the forge. Gemma’s hair is just so... blonde. And her ponytail is so... high. Looks like she’s got a pineapple tower on her head. A... beautiful pineapple tower.

I walked up to her, real slow. Casual-like.

Then chickened out at the last second.

I did that two or three times. Before Gemma finally noticed me. She goes, 'Can I help you with something, Meg?'

I froze.

'Hunter,' I said. Voice all raspy because my vocal cords were still fried from that Rathalos. 'Call me Hunter.' My face felt hot, but again, totally the Rathalos's fault.

'Uh, okay. Do you need something?' She smiled at me.

I shook my head, mumbled a 'thanks,' and bolted.

I saw a Rey Dau flying way too close to the village. That's why I left, not because I panicked.

I mean, duty calls, right?

Taking on a Tempered Rathalos requires three things: experience, a good build, and a massive stroke of luck.

I have the first one. Fire-resistant armor sets look hideous, though. Plus, I just had the Odogaron set forged, which has a -10 against fire, but hey, it’s badass as hell. You can't beat that, right?

So, I relied on the third variable.

Sure, I burned my ass off. And Lilla had to chuck a Vigorwasp right at my face before I collapsed.

But it worked.
