Etho no-lifeing mcci on what appears to be the ultimate pvp-movement training arc... is only partly true. Sure, he's putting in the hours and getting some amount of practice, the leaderboards don't lie... but his main draw to mcci isn't the games: it's the colourful custom food stalls dotted around the server.
It started after a particularly successful game of battle box: he'd been proud, tired, and a little socially drained from being around so many unfamiliar people for so long, and felt he deserved a treat. The burger they'd ended up buying— and demolishing in three bites— was the best they'd eaten since VH. And mcci has so many more options to explore! All the typical fast-food fare is available: burgers and fries, sure, but also fried chicken, popcorn, pizza, sushi, donuts, pastries, milkshakes, slushies... Each more mouthwateringly appealing than he's ever seen before, thanks to the server's high-saturation resource pack.
He is very grateful that the stalls are all staffed by N.oxcrew's automaton NPCs, who simply hand over much food as he can pay for with blank faces that make no note or judgement of his repeat (repeat repeat) patronage and portion sizes. They do wish the option to disguise usernames was available on the main Island, not too keen on being recognised while indulging in his newfound obsession— but they're not a ninja for nothing, and dodging other players while he scans the stalls for whatever he's craving that day soon becomes just another part of his post-practice ritual. Once their feast is secured they retreat to one of the many secluded spots scattered around the mcci map to eat in peace.
It's a good thing you can log off from anywhere on the island; fighting with the zipper of their puff jacket and trying to suck in their gut long enough to walk unnoticed to the mcci entrance sounds like a nightmare. Instead Etho can end his training session by logging out from his stuffing spot and respawning in the comfort of his blissfully quiet HC base.
Pausing in front of the mirror after a quick shower Etho notices a few things. The taut roundness of a full stomach protruding from their lanky frame has become a familiar sight over the past month... but their frame isn't so lanky anymore. His hip bones are barely visible. His belly doesn't jut out as abruptly as it used to, the round heavy shape of it seeming to belong in a way that feels new and exciting. Their fingers sink in slightly as he rubs soothing circles into the surface, feeling it gurgle as they trace over the faint red lines that have begun to appear at the juncture with their torso. The outline of his jaw feels softer than before as they reach behind their head to untie their mask, stifling a burp as the movement jostles their digesting gut and causes a slight jiggle to spread across its surface.
Hmm.
Interesting.
But they're far too full to think about it for long, preferring to fall into bed and sleep off their latest food coma, forgetting all about it by morning.
He definitely puts on weight. Not as much or as fast as you'd expect considering his diet; he is actually training after all, and playing the minigames is more activity than they'd usually get on HC hunched over a redstone project or build palette. Part of the quantities they consume are genuinely from them being hungrier. And the weight he does gain goes unnoticed for quite a while, even by his fellow hermits— one of the benefits of baggy ninja clothing and a face mask.
But if he keeps up this ''training regime'' eventually the results won't be as easy to ignore :3
