I’m reminded via FB Memories six (6) years ago today, I officially moved back to California from Montana and moved into the house in the picture (my parents), to start the next chapter of my life! Not everything went as planned, expected or promised, but I continued to take each day and make it the best! Now relocated and living in Colorado, I have renewed dreams and goals to reach! I have learned valuable lessons and taken a few hard knocks to the ground, but I'll alway get back up! I’ve learned family isn’t always blood, and those who betray and take advantage of you aren’t always strangers. Home is where you are loved, supported, encouraged and respected (not necessarily where you were born and raised). ✅ I continue to grow and develop and strive to be better than I was yesterday! ✅ I no longer hold on to the broken promises of my past and have taken the power away from those who have wronged me! ✅ I maintain the control in my life and chose happiness, even on my worst days! In his eyes..even to this very day..he doesn’t think he did a single thing wrong. He can’t let go of the thoughts and accusations that he created in his head and has trapped himself there and in the past..almost like a never ending loop.  Here I am..the accused..living day by day trying to pull myself together and be the girl I used to know..only for him to try to bring me back down. This is just how it is, how it was, and how it will always be. When I’m moving on, succeeding and figuring life out, he can’t move on from the fact that I finally realized that it wasn’t healthy, there was no more love, and that I deserved better.  In his eyes, he doesn’t believe he did a single thing wrong. I’ve finally accepted that. Just like I’ve finally accepted I’ll never get the apology I’ve deserve. It's funny how things fall apart, how two people react to the same situation. I guess that is just how its meant to be. Now I can only wish the best for him so that he can final realize that it’s over and be able to live a healthy life.
