And we know for a fact that Kuzan and Garp share a deep mentor - pupil relationship. Because of this, it’s safe to assume that Borsalino and Sakazuki were either mentored by Sengoku and Tsuru or were just their direct subordinates OR BOTH!!!

Borsalino and Sakazuki were known as “monster rookies” when they first joined the navy. I love the idea of them being mentored by Sengoku and Tsuru and later serving as their subordinates on missions until their promotions to ADMIRAL.
