Hunter Pence
I feel like Pence has a lot of high energy pokemon to keep up with his own high energy and I’m not even gonna lie my first instinct was Aipom. Mischevious, fun, and silly to a T just like Hunter!
Porygon2 would also be a good addition because of his history with gaming and video game streaming, I think! I think it could also be a Porygon-Z but I wasn't quite sure so I'm sticking with the middle form. In the same vein, I think Chatot would be fun as a broadcaster reference pick!
As a reference to player's weekend being this weekend, I find his old jersey nickname of "Wawindaji" being a cool nod I could make for him by adding a lion pokemon! Litleo is such a cute little guy, I think it would really match his vibe and energy as a firey little cat!
I also think he needs at least one electric type, but I couldn't decide which one until I remembered Bolthund existed! An energetic and fast as hell dog, that's right up his alley!
The last one was really stumping me, but I remembered how much he cares for taking care of the planet including his own charity about it. That could be any number of grass types to me, but Jumpluff feels like the right pick here, it's just mischevious, cute and fun, similar to the Aipom pick from earlier.

Madison Bumgarner
For Bum, I feel like his Pokemon team would be very reflective of his roots. He definitely has at least one Pokemon you could find on a ranch, I think Tauros could be the vibe for him. As far as which variation, either classic Tauros or Blaze Breed Tauros feel correct for him.
I think legally I'm also required to add a horse pokemon because of the World Series Horse. It's gotta be Mudsdale, I feel like the Ponyta line isn't quite right and not as sturdy as Bum is.
Lastly, he's a simple kind of guy so I think he's gonna just have three pokemon, but I think Passimian would be a good final partner for him. They're dedicated to their teams and the ones who throw a ball the hardest is often the leader, which seems like it feels right for him! A great throwing partner to practice with!
