Should I find someone foolish enough to marry the likes of me, I have every intention of double barreling my surname.
I’ve wanted to take on my dad’s last name for a while now, but in order to do so I’d have to put a notice in the local paper for three weeks in case someone wanted to contest it (even though it’s nobody’s business but my own), so doing it while single feels like it’d be a waste of time. Doing it when I marry seems like the better option.
I’d get my spouse’s name and I’d finally stop have that constant feeling that insists on questioning whether or not I’m my dad’s kid just because we don’t share DNA.
