Also, artic sea ice has been shrinking faster than ever.🌎🔥Right now sea ice has just passed its peak coverage for the year, and will begin to shrink with the coming of spring. It’s a crucial time for polar bears whose food supply is inextricably linked to sea ice. . We destroy our forest covers, increase greenhouse gas emissions. As a result, the earth’s climate is being artificially altered (Climate Change). This leads to increased worldwide temperatures and the melting of polar ice caps, as well as many other undesirable impacts. Melting sea ice has a particularly negative effect on polar bears, as it is their prime habitat and they rely on it for food & shelter. . .We must divest from fossil fuels and invest in clean energy & renewables. Polar bears must swim farther out to sea in search of ice floes where they hunt; some expend all of their energy in doing so and end up drowning. It’s sad but true that life is getting harder for polar bears due to global warming.
