Things Dabi did:

- Filmed a drama video to expose Endeavor

- Hacked a TV broadcast to show it to the world

- did all of that shirtless

- can we talk about the video composition? Like the chair, the dramatic way he puts his hands together like in prayer while leaning over showing that this is (as youtubers would like to say) the hardest video he’s ever had to make, also the way he stands up and opens his arms making sure everyone’s able to see all of his scars

- the perfect timing of leaking the video while also confronting endeavor and shouto in person

- showing up in the middle of a tense fight scene on the shoulder of a giant

- pouring bleach on himself

- “LIVE hair color reveal - ACTUALLY HAppEned, not fake, no photoshop,No filter”

When the League of Villains is flooded with new recruits the Hosu incident, there are 3 that owe their villainous personas to Stain’s influence. Spinner basically cosplays Stain, dressing alike and dogmatically repeating his talking points. Toga is just attracted to him and the life he led. Dabi, however, states he will fulfill the Hero Killer’s will without much elaboration.

Since readers correctly guessed Dabi’s true identity, most of the attention has gone to that aspect of his character. Now, In the latest war arc, the importance of Stain’s ideals has resurfaced.

Dabi sees himself a lone wolf, someone who can change the world with just his “philosophy” alone. With the benefit of the Touya context, we can see why Dabi so driven to expose fakes. As an abuser, Endeavor is the fakest hero of all. What’s interesting is that Dabi understands the power to change society far more than Stain ever did. Stain ideas didn’t gain notoriety on their own; it was the media coverage afterwards that made him the talk of the nation.

The macabre life story of stain helped bring fame and new recruits to the league. Dabi’s broadcast, however, improves upon that formula in a multitude of ways. The first is confessional style.

Dabi faces the audience and bares his scared body, drawing them into his story. His vulnerability both makes his story more believable and his story of Endeavor’s abuse more heinous. It’s hard to tell how much Dabi really cares about the innocents he’s murdered, but by acknowledging his evil acts in the video, he also stokes the public’s morbid curiosity in serial killers and madmen.

In the world of MHA, just as in ours, violence gets good ratings. But because of the style of his address, the public won’t be able to help but sympathize a little, just like how Deku did with Stain.

Dabi’s second improvement is his timing. Even without Skeptic’s help, Dabi could have basically made his move at any point in the story. Not only did he wait for Endeavor to become number 1, however, but he waited until Japan hit  rock bottom.

Combined with Gigantomachia’s rampage, the news of Endeavor’s evil deeds becomes utterly shattering. Even if Endeavor survives this battle, he can’t even retire anymore since the the top ten has been utterly decimated.

And i would like to say that my emotions were all over the place.

The chapter started with this, clearly showing that touya/dabi had died in fire....... perhaps because of him wanting to run away. What you see here is that the people only found his lower jaw bone, and this definitely happened with touya getting rid of his own jaw bone in order to make it clear that he died.

When i was going through the chap i was clearly confused as to why touya ran away. You can see the genuine and proud smile on Enji as he went ahead to train him, and touya with excitement as he got ready to train. Touya, despite having fire more powerful than Enji himself, was not meant to be the hero with raging fire. According to me, touya was meant to have a more calming fire, to spread warmth. But Enji, even with knowing that touyas body was not fit to keep up to his power, like Deku, continued to train him vigorously. Enji basically wanted a child with half ice and half fire to be perfect, but unfortunately touya didnt get that. Rei decided that it would be good to have more children to support eachother. But Enji, with his second child, still hoped that she could get the quirks that he wanted. But it didn’t exactly matter to him at the time cuz touya was fine. But once touyas body was harming itself, Enji still didnt give up on his dream of him becoming no.1 . This itself shows how much pressure the young child had.

NOT TO MENTION THAT ENJI GOT PHYSICAL WITH HIS CHILDREN,

That was when i lost it.

Endeavor was soo blinded by his dream that he put his anger on his own family!!!

His anger caused touya to run away.

For his son Natsu to clearly hate him for what he did to touya.

His wife to become MENTALLY UNSTABLE that she threw boiling water on her OWN SON JUST BECAUSE HE RESEMBLED HER ABUSIVE HUSBAND.

Not to mention that ALL of this fell onto shouto because he was the “perfect” child that endeavor wanted. All the pain that endeavor caused fell onto Shoutos shoulder. His lost brother, his unstable mother, the dream to become no.1. ALL OF IT.

This whole chapter made me go haywire.
