Oh it was your favorite time of day! Itās play time! Today you told catnap you wanted to play hide and seek with him. He obliged, how could he say no to his kitten. So he picks you up by the scruff and slowly walks you to home sweet home then gently set you down once you two have made it in. Turning facing away from you and facing the door he starts to count down from 10.
Which is your cue to skitter away and find a hiding spot. He was always really slow at counting so you basically have 15 seconds. While running around you spot a room thats blocked with furniture but has a small gap that is big enough to fit you. So you crawl your little self into the room and found a room with lots of old furniture. It looks like an office, but no name or picture to who claimed it previously. Then you heard slow creaking of wooden floor board and you panic. You crawl under the desk and giggle to yourself. He wonāt find you! Youāre too little and heās too big! No way he find you here, hehe! The slow creaking fade off into the distance so you poke your head out to see if he is really gone. You check and heās really not there. This spot is working purfectly! You giggle again and continue to wait til he finds you. You grow bored, tired, and uncomfortable sitting on wooden flooring. Theres no clock to tell you time but itās been a while. So you might as well quietly look around to room, maybe theres something to play with! You check the desk, empty, you check the drawers, spider webs, you check the file cabinet, a vhs tape. Looking around to find a matching television you find one. Grey just like the tape, it must go together! But, if you play it itāll be loud and catnap might find you! But youāre so curious about it. You sit there staring til it hits you, you can just mute the volume to the television! So looking below the television screen you find the buttons, worn away, you canāt see any of the words so you take a gander. You pick the button on the farthest left and spam it multiple times. Then you put the vhs tape in and listen to the television buzz, waiting for it to start. Hopefully it had pictures and wasnāt just audio. Then there it was, an old looking bed sitting in a black void. But you gandered wrong and curiosity surely will kill the cat. You spam press buttons til you supposedly pressed the pause button. You hid under the desk and you curl up. Those slow creaking floors can be heard, muffled slightly by the thick wood desk. Then nothing. Silence. Waiting a few seconds you peek from under the desk. Snatch! Up high you go, in the jaws of a beast, a purple one. If it were anyone else then this would be their last moments, but for you, itās just a lost game of hide and seek. Pouting and looking back at CatNap you can see heās already looking at you. You, upset, need to know how he got to your cat proof spot. He didnāt answer, he usually doesnāt, but this time it felt like he just didnāt want to not that he couldnāt! Everything else flew by fairly quickly; leaving home sweet home, heading back to the play house, and then back to the cat den that catnap made for the two of you. Were you always this tired? Your eyes failing to stay open again and again. The big, fluffy, purple cat snuggling up and purring in your ear wasnāt helping either. The battle between consciousness and the dream world was a pyrrhic war, but not unwelcome.Ā
