NEW CFRI CONFERENCE RECORDING: PANEL DISCUSSION ON THE IMPACT OF CF ON THE SIBLINGS⁠ ⁠ At CFRI's National CF Education Conference, three siblings of adults with CF – Marina Gonzales, Damian Rice, and Suraj Patel – shared their insights and perspectives about how their siblings’ disease has shaped and influenced their own lives.⁠ ⁠ The panel was moderated by Deborah Menet, LCSW, a CF social worker at the Stanford CF Center. ⁠ ⁠ CFRI's 35th National CF Education Conference was sponsored by Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Genentech, Gilead Sciences, Chiesi USA, AbbVie, and Ionis Pharmaceuticals.⁠

Having mixed feelings about my clinic visit on Monday. On the one hand, I went in with expectations. This is always dangerous, but I have been feeling so good (yay!) and working so hard to be active. So when my numbers didn’t show improvement, I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed. On the other hand, I am so happy to finally have an appointment where things are relatively stable after a year of frustrating instability. Also, I will not have a needle in my chest under my wedding dress (whoop whoop!). So all in all, it was a good appointment. CF clinic today with my human! The difference between the last time I was here and today is like night and day. They are all subtle changes, but mean the world! 1) No gentle leader and still maintaining a "heel" 2) "Focus" is on point 3) Awesome "under" without being nervous at all 4) No barking when the team knocks on the door to come in the room 5) Stayed relaxed for the entire 2 hours we were there. All of my human's CF team was so proud of me - they are so supportive. PLUS, @wendycaroline91 had an awesome appointment on top of it.
