In the last return match of the women’s CEV Cup semi-finals, Dinamo KAZAN defeated Galatasaray ISTANBUL 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-18) and then made it to the Final with a thrilling 15-11 victory in the Golden Set. Dinamo will play against Unet Yamamay BUSTO ARSIZIO who yesterday came back from two sets down to claim the all-Italian semi-final with Pomì CASALMAGGIORE and progress to the ‘grand finale’ where the ‘Butterflies’ will be trying to secure a third title in the competition after they already finished on top of the podium in 2010 and 2012.

CEV Cup: TRENTINO thrash PIACENZA in first round of Italian derby
The first round of the Italian derby on schedule for the quarterfinals of the 2017 CEV Volleyball Cup – Men ended in a comprehensive 3-0 victory (25-19, 25-23, 25-21) for TRENTINO Diatec over LPR Volley PIACENZA. TRENTINO needed slightly more than one hour to rally to a comfortable win as PIACENZA struggled to find their way into the game and even Leonel Marshall and Viktor Yosifov could not do much to change the course of the match. Jan Stokr, Tine Urnaut and Filippo Lanza paced TRENTINO on their way to victory as only Trévor Clévenot could put up a real fight for PIACENZA.
