They love each other so much and their communication is nonexistent. Ceroba makes herself into a "perfect housewife" which Chujin does not encourage but does enable. Ceroba has nothing in their house that is hers besides the food she makes her family and… her clothes. She has no hobbies. She is nobody without her family! She never raises concerns about how, on top of raising their daughter, she has to pick up a customer service job after Chujin "retires" (him lying about getting fired so she won't think less of him) while he does "volunteer work" all day and he gets to become beloved by a whole town. He actually does do volunteer work. He also works on an experimental serum to make murder easier that actually slowly kills him, which he does not tell Ceroba about, despite that being kind of important to mention to YOUR WIFE. On his deathbed, he simultaneously tells her to not take care of him because he's a burden AND tells her to carry on the work that's about to finally kill him, completely oblivious to or ignoring the fact that his work would be a burden to her and he himself would not. This want to finish his work and her struggling to grieve leads to Ceroba accidentally putting their daughter in a coma. They're devoted to each other. They will never ever learn to communicate. They need to divorce asap.
