Forming a vigorous mat Cerastium tomentosum (snow-in-summer, dusty miller, snow plant, wooly mouse-ear chickweed) produces a low display of star-shaped white flowers on thin stems with narrow, white-hairy leaves. It is commonly found in cottage gardens often edging the borders.
