Weird remote catholic conspiracies
A reclusive order of monks who live on a small island of the coast of Orkney are seemingly involved in a developing scandal/ feud with the rest of the Catholic Church. Last month, one of the order was reported as ‘lost to the sea’ with his body found a few days later, and now a further 3 have left without permission of their senior, but with collaboration of the Bishop of Aberdeen. All this only 18 days after releasing a lengthy letter decrying the infiltration of Modernists in the Vatican. Reversing a 2008 reconciliation. The Italian chapel will fix you
The Italian chapel is a small chapel in Orkney built by Italian prisoners of war. And when I tell you not only is the chapel stunning but it has this sort of aura around it. Now I've been in places if worship all over Europe but out of all the cathedrals and places that I have seen or been into nothing has moved me as this chapel has. I'm not religious though I do think my beliefs align closely with several religions I don't follow any. But this chapel just. It's indescribable. The best I can do is to call it a sanctuary.
