I enjoy going to nurseries, with so many plants for sale, there’s always a wide variety of insects.
These are the rolled-leaf cocoons of a Cephrenes caterpillar. Similar to leaf roller moths, these small butterflies (Family Hesperidae) create shelters by stitching together leaves with silk. The Cephrenes genus of Hesperid caterpillar feeds excusively on palms, and is found in Southeast Asia, and Australia.
