with everday that does on, im utterly terrified that i will be a victim to gun violence, that i will be another transgender teenager, man, human, gunned down all because of my gender. i hate that the world has come to this. i hate that im scared shitless to walk outside and my name be forever wiped from this earth. im deathly afraid.

the truth of the matter? the truth of the matter is that transgender people dont feel safe walking around, either in broad daylight or in the night time. i feel ashamed to say it but its true. transgender people arent safe in this world. we have never been. as of 6/2/2018 there have been 11 transgender deaths, but the media refuses to cover it.

im scared that my name will fade away from history, so we cant let their names be forgotten, we cant let them just fade like that. transgender teenagers, KIDS are being gunned down.

please dont let them be forgotten. remember their names.

Celine Walker was 36 years old when she died in a Florida motel room from a gunshot wound. She died on Sunday, February 4, 2018.

She is the 4th transgender woman, the 3rd trans woman of color, and the second Black trans woman that we know of to be killed in 2018 in the United States. She is also the second Black trans woman who was killed THIS WEEK.
