How did Celestin feel when he met Juno? Like, when she was born and he went to visit Rujinu.
I feel so rude. I meant to answer this forever ago, and I thought I did, but welp.... and its such a nice question too! After I'm done dragging my feet on this blog, im going into the "Mean writer corner" for time-out.
-------------------------
Celestin was shocked. Yes, he knew for months now that this would happen, but he still didnt let himself believe that his adoptive son was having a child.
And to be honest, he was scared after all, the situation sounds familar to him; Human father, DEMON mother... and a little child half-breed.
What if... it all happened again? What if he lost Rumi this time? He thought to himself outside of the hospital room. His body was frozen stiff, the only part of him moving being his trembling fingers.
But, just as his cowardice was winning to leave, Rumi stepped out and noticed the stoicly horrified man.
"You did come! Good, I was worried that you... I'm happy to see you. Come on in, Jinu is holding our little girl right now."
As Rumi tugged Celestin by his sleeve into the room, he was flooded with memories of a younger Rumi doing the same thing whenever he wanted his adoptive father to interact with him or show him something.
But, this Rumi was different. Mature, grown, hopeful... the blooming version of the flower bud he used to be. Pride swelled in his chest to see his son with such joy in his eyes. Perhaps he didnt fuck up too much as a parent afterall.
Though, he was soon snapped out of his thoughts by the sight of the little lotus girl held in Jinu arms.
"Her name is Juno. Isnt she the cutest thing?"
Jinu's typically sharp words towards him were significantly softened in the baby's presence, startling the older man.
"Yes, she is... if it is alright with you, may I hold her?"
Jinu grip tightened and she hesitated with her response, but eventually, Celestin found himself with a baby Juno in his arms.
She was perfect from the tip of her forehead to the soles of her feet. a pure child of light and beauty. He was instantly consumed by grandfatherly pride and protection. He would be better for her, in a way he shamefully hadn't been for Jinu.
"I promise, my little lotus."
He whispers to the little girl, his joy gleamingly clear.

there are some details id like to add;
Celestin and Rumi's relationship is complicated. There is obvious problems there, but Celestin is afraid to talk about them and instead chooses to ignore them. At first when hearing about Juno, Celestin ghosted Rumi for a month then gave him the littlest bit of engagement. Rumi is desperately seeking to keep Celestin in his life and mend their relationship, but Celestin's ✨️trauma✨️ is getting in the way of that.
Celestin does care for Rumi, but still has a hard time accepting the demon side of him. You can see a hint of this when he refers to Rumi as a "human dad".
and thats all i can think of rn. hehe, sorry for being such a procrastinator TvT
