Hey, so pride weekend is happening in my city this weekend and I can't decide if I want to go. My mom is okay with me going, but we're both worried about something bad happening and mean people and whatever. there’s always a chance “something bad” could happen, any time you leave home. however, letting fear keep you from following your heart, means tht the terrorists got what they wanted, you to live in fear.
plus, here in the states it’s pretty unlikely tht anything truly devastating will happen. i mean, you’re in FL rt, Celeste? i say, if you wanna go- then do it! esp. if you’ve not been to Pride in this city before. i hope you’ll be able to go and have a lot of fun celebrating freedom over shame. good luck, dove!
