Wisdom of the Maiden/possibilities and dreams (far right): The Lovers (Gemini). My dreams include a romantic life with a special someone. Maybe the guy I’m with now?

Wisdom of the Mother/gifts I bring (far left): Eight of Pentacles (Centaurus). It seems I am ready to focus on my vocation and commit my attention to detail to my field.

Wisdom of Hecate/Deep wisdom within (top): Prince of Cups (Mutable Water): It seems that, like the Piscean moon I am, I am ready to be engaged spiritually and creatively. My relationships and creativity nourish each other.

XIV TEMPERANCE: The Spirit of Sagittarius

Sagittarius follows Scorpio as it represents rebirth, yet this time the birth is into spirit. It embraces spiritual values, morality, ethics, justice, and temperance—the virtues representing this card. The Greeks associated Crotus, the inventor of archery, with Sagittarius. With the bow and arrow in her capable hands, Artemis, the huntress and archer is also a perfect spokeswoman for this sign. Underlying this archetype is the struggle between the instinctual and the pursuit of higher knowledge and ethics. Similarly the card Temperance implies moderation and balance, finding the middle path, and discerning between right and wrong. The card suggests a phase of spiritual awakening and learning, but to move forward temperance and reflection are needed. Balance is required as there are conflicting forces drawing the individual in opposite directions.

I got this deck about 5 years ago and it is STILL the only tarot deck I own. I always thought of expanding but no other deck has really called out to me like these ones have.
