The wolf form is more of just a host shell it took over from the planet it ended up landing on. Azrael is basically an alien species called a Celestial that gets mistaken for ‘angels’ or ‘gods’ by planet inhabitants.

Inktober#15, Legend of the 4 Celestial Beasts: In Japanese: Seiryu, Suzaku, Byakko, and Genbu. In Chinese, Qīnglóng, Zhūquè, Báihǔ, Xuánwǔ, In English: Azure Dragon, Vermilion Bird, White Tiger, Black Tortoise. Legend had it there was a 5th beast, some wrote it was a Gold/ Yellow Dragon, some interpretation had it it was a Kirin. I left that one out for another time to draw. I was first introduced to these beasts when I was recruited into a game guild named Mythos back in the days. They named each division to these 4 creatures.
