Although in most parts of the world it's known as "chinese" cabbage, napa cabbage grows in the USA year round in California and Hawaii. We took our napa cabbage's name literally and created a trip to the beautiful Napa Valley. Since we couldn't attain any organic red grapes, our drink's red color comes from the beetroot of which earthy taste we balanced with ginger. Note also the rather exotic kohlrabi (Italian turnip) which is also grown in California. Feel free to include kohlrabi's leaves into the mix if they look fresh and appealing to you. The recipe follows as:
Napa Green Juice (for two)
1 small chunk of green cabbage
Juice the napa cabbage first, then the green cabbage, kohlrabi and broccoli. Continue with juicing the zucchini, carrot, beetroot and ginger. Follow up with juicing an orange, a lime and finally the pears. Add ice to taste. Enjoy outside in the early sunset, perhaps with someone special.
