The flavors of warm cinnamon, crisp dried apple chips, and sweet caramel come together in this Celebration Generation recipe for Apple Cinnamon Caramel Popcorn, making it a delectable and festive snack fit for any celebration.
Ingredients: 10 cups popped popcorn. 1 cup brown sugar. 1/2 cup butter. 1/4 cup light corn syrup. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/4 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1 cup dried apple chips, chopped.
Instructions: Set oven temperature to 250F 120C. Melt butter, add corn syrup, brown sugar, and salt to a saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil while cooking over medium heat, stirring from time to time. Boil for four minutes without stirring. Take off the heat and mix in the vanilla extract, cinnamon, and baking soda. Watch out because the mixture will start to bubble. Popped popcorn should be put in a big roasting pan. After pouring caramel mixture over popcorn, toss to coat evenly. Bake for 45 minutes in a preheated oven, stirring every 15 minutes. Take out of the oven and add the dried apple chips. Let cool completely before serving.
